TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Came out to Dave's Hot Chicken to try it, having recently moved to the area. It was OK. We may come here again if wanting something a little different from Chick-fil-A. Our comparison would be to Chicken Fire in downtown Orlando. We definitely prefer Chicken Fire, for both the spicy and the no spice versions fried chicken. However, Dave's fries were also very good. Been driving by here for a while. Finally decided to try it and it did not disappoint. Got the chicken slider with fries. Sandwich looked just like the picture and tasted so good. Fries were hot and crispy. Cheyanne took our order and she was very friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. Atmosphere is pretty cool and it was clean. Definitely will make this a regular stop.

About the best chicken sandwich I've come across. If someone asked me if it was better than chic-fil-a or Publix chicken I would say it's better than Chic-fil-a and a rival for Publix chicken. On teams of service, it's good. Staff seem great and food comes out the way it should and on time. The inside of the place is nice, very clean and spacious. Great place to have lunch.

The business is really nice. The staff is pretty good. The cheese fries are amazing. The one thing I don't understand is why the chicken is different than like other chicken it's more like harder than maybe that's the way Dave's hot chicken goes in my opinion the sides are better than the chicken, the chicken is not that soft
