The only reason I'm giving David's Bridal even one star is because I can't give less. Where do I even begin? We made an appointment, get there, and wait just to speak to someone (it was busy but there were attendants who appeared to be standing around). Finally we are greeted just to find out they have no record of our appointment, which the MOH had made a mere hour or so prior. Felt like the girl that helped us was very sweet but didn’t know what she was doing. Was there picking bridesmaids dresses and even though my wedding date was given, we spent an hour looking at dresses and narrowed it down to one, only to find out that it would arrive in 4 months (6 days before my wedding) which would’ve been fine if we were told that from the beginning. Booked my first wedding dress appointment on a Sunday about 2 weeks ago. I was told on the phone to make an account, and save my favorite dresses so that they would be ready for me to try on at my appt. When I arrived they handed me a printout of the dresses I chose online and told me to choose my top 3. The pictures were in black and white and you really couldn’t tell the dresses apart (there were at least 15-20 small pictures on the page) I was asked my budget and told where my fitting room was. We had an appointment and I basically did everything my self while she waited on other customers.
My experience with David’s Bridal has been pretty miserable. I went in last fall to pick out and order my dress for my friend’s wedding, and after several dresses, I settled on one. I checked over and over for verification that the dress would come in the color I needed, and I was told multiple times that it would. Upon checkout, I was told that it did not come in my color and that I would have to pick out a different dress. What a pleasant experience yesterday we all had with my daughters appointment searching for the perfect wedding dress for her! Everyone was very nice and professional! Let me start by saying a girl who helped her was very nice and good at her job. My daughter purchased a dress there yesterday for her 2nd wedding at the courthouse. She was trying to keep her cost down so she purchased a dress for $200 (regular price). She was not told that they have a no return policy until after she paid for the dress. She then went to Macys to look for some other things and happen to see the same dress there for $129 (regular price) and she probably could have used a coupon. Horrible experience altogether. I gave 2 stars only because there were a few really nice consultants that stepped in to help when my consultant was trying to rush me off. My appointment was from 1:30 to 3. I had already chosen about 6 dresses to try on while waiting for my appointment. By 2:00 I had already tried on all of the dresses, none of which I liked.
