This clinic should be more upfront with their patients. When I went in for my visit, I wasn't told that my insurance wouldn't pay for 100% of my routine check up and cleaning. One would think that such a fact would be willingly offered after I provided my insurance details, given that I went in for a simple routine, and not some treatment where a copay is more likely than not. I then spent about 1/3 of my visit being sold on the other services they provide, and why I should come back for more cleaning and more checkups. Th... read more
I had work done here in November 2016 which is still causing me pain. I've come in at least 5 times for adjustments, and in my last visit was told I likely have nerve damage related to that procedure. Dr. Trotter was incredibly patronizing when I asked for a refund to have this redone elsewhere, and explained I'd need a root canal to remedy issue this at an additional cost. The staff here is great, I really have no other complaints but the actual work done seems to have left me worse off.
I signed up with this dentist as my best friend goes here and she usually has no complaints. My first visit was in August. It went pretty well. I transferred x rays from another dentist and she did a follow up to let me know what would need to be done. I expressed that I had lots of sensitivity and a bit of pain and she told me that I would need a root canal and her team will call me to schedule an appointment. No one called..... Still experiencing pain, I called them to schedule an appointment. This was now around Labor D... read more
So got a bill for $33.10 , no explanation on the bill. Okay, called to get an explanation, no one called back. Called again, got someone at the front desk. -Today: 09/08/2016 -Took X-rays on: 12/10/ 2015 -Just got a bill for the "balance" on the X rays that the doctor did. Never had a procedure done. Explanation that I got ... Dr Tracz was dishonest and over exaggerated the # of cavities in my mouth as well as their severity. She drilled into my healthy teeth and charged me thousands for unnecessary dental work. Read the full story below. MY STORY: I had never had a cavity in my life until I went to see Dr Tracz. She took X-rays and told me I had 10 cavities, 5 on each side, that urgently needed to be filled. I had 5 filled on the right and then went for a second opinion. I brought the X-rays from Dr Tracz to another dentist (different office) w... read more
Business response:
Dear Charlotte, We are deeply sorry that you feel that you were mislead by our practice. We pride ourselves on having the most up to date technology (including the latest in digital radiographs and cavity detection using transillumination/intraoral photography/etc). As a result of our improved capabilities and diagnostic tools, we are able to treat patients more comprehensively and, in our opinion, this is a benefit to our clients. Not every dentist or dental practice employs these techniques and not every dentist will t... read more
Just because they take your insurance does NOT mean they are an in-network provider. If you go here, triple check with your insurance company before having any work done. At my initial visit, they reviewed with me the work that they recommended and went over the cost with me. It turns out that the final cost was double what I initially was told. They just shrugged and said my insurance was to blame. When I reviewed my plan information and challenged them on it, they finally revealed to me, after two visits, that they were NO... read more
I have been going to this office for five years and I wish I had left earlier. The quality of work is terrible and I recently learned that when they receive payments from insurance companies, they keep that money on file as a credit on your account instead of refunding the money to the patient. I have been trying to get my money returned to me and I am still waiting. In addition, the quality of care has not been great. I have had issues with teeth they have worked on. I will say, their hygienist Christiana is amazing. But I ... read more
DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! It's very rare that I find myself writing a review. Dr. Trotter's office quoted me for $14000K of work. I had half of the work done and decided it was in my best interest to get a second opinion. The second opinion told me I need one filling replaced. One filling!! Additionally, even though we would pay the bill in full at the office, we would randomly get additional bills in the mail. They will put a crown on you any chance they get. THEY DO NOT HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST AT HEART.
Do not go to this office. It's really awful: I had to go back several times to get work fitted properly, told me I needed a root canal on a tooth when I didn't, front office constantly gets the amount owed wrong and ends up asking for more after I've settled and insurance is taken into account, the dentist spends a lot of time talking to the other staff about what client is next and what they'll be doing rather than focusing on the patient *in the chair*. It's really unprofessional. I went as it was conveniently near my a... read more
