It quit working about the third time I tried to ... It quit working about the third time I tried to use it. I contacted brother who offered me a refurbished one to replace it. The one I bought was brand new and defective. I didn't warn a refurbished one in place of a brand new one. So I returned it and bought a different brand.
One Star Completely frustrating piece of junk. Will not feed a sheet straight. Every scan is crooked.
Stay clear The product was hard to set up. Installation should have been easy for a brother product. I finally was able to install the software installed after 2 hours of searching the website and multiple downloads. The software worked for 1 evening and the next day no dice..To the company's credit they returned my full amount of money.
Lasted six months Worked great for about six months. Then last week for no apparent reason Win7 could no longer recognize it, says missing hardware ID. Brother customer support says its a Microsoft problem. Microsoft says its a scanner problem. I suspect a chip in the scanner failed. Now looking for a different brand.
Two Stars not what I needed
Worthless! I've had it for a couple months and it finally quit working altogether. I guess the 1st three words said it all. It seemed like it was a little error prone and troublesome from the start (I previous used an HP all-in-one inkjet which just worked). Now it has quit working altogether. It doesn't seem to make any difference which app you use (DS mobile capture that came with the scanner or Acrobat Pro). It was a total waste of $$$.
A waste of money I cannot get it to work on either my Toshiba or any of my Apple products: MacBook and MacBook Air.
NO WIA i have half a dozen DS-600 scanners that work perfect for me. bought 1 one of these 620's and it is completely useless for me. im sure it's a good scanner but with no WIA driver, it's a downgrade to the 600!
the scanner is not Linux compatible even though their websites ... the scanner is not Linux compatible even though their websites says they are. Downloading drivers has not be successful yet so use can not be scored.
