Not as described, sadly. Description sounded good on Amazon. Received it, opened it up, loaded CD as required, found out that if you have Windows 10 workingon your laptop-desktop, software is not recognized as the CD only goes as high as Windows 8.1, as stated on the CD label. Went to Brother.com website for FAQ support for this model DS 620.Brother does not even recognize the Model number anymore!!
Not for high gloss or glossy photos. Don't waste your time or money. Bought this as a quick photo scanner (having about 10,000 photos to scan). Set up was easy and test photo was ok quality. Start scanning my own photos and nothing but problems. Pictures were cut in half, colors were dark and not anywhere close to what the actual photo was. Played with the settings forever and the picture quality still remained the same. I wished that I had spent more money and made a better investment.
couldn't fully install, no customer support from Brother website to install the receipt software would never load. Kepp giving error message to try later, after 4 days of this I called customer support. I was told I would get a call back from website support. A week later I sent the product back to Amazon. Still no call back form website support over a month later
The scans look like crap though Absolutely horrible. Had for a month and it jams ever scan. Returned item. DON'T BUY. SCANS ALSO HAVE BLACK EDGES
Not what I need The marketing info promised OCR software included. However, that software does not work with Windows 10 -- at least, that is what I was told after several conversations with customer service. (So, documents are saved as IMAGES rather than words, and cannot be searched etc.) I returned the scanner rather than pay over $80 for third-party software.

Scanner worked fine. However Scanner worked fine. However, I could not install the Nuance PaperPort software. I went to the Brother website. The troubleshooter said I needed to install MSXML 4.0 and provided a link to Microsoft's download page. I went there and the installer failed to work. As a result, I could not combine multiple scanned pages into a single document, which makes the scanner much less useful. I returned this and got the Epson Workforce DS-30. Choose something else! Don't buy it! I just spent 32 minutes on Brother Tech support and it's still not working. It's only 3 weeks old and been used a total of 4 times. Today it's cutting a 4 page document into 7 partial pages with solid black on the bottom half of each page. I cannot use these files as it. I've downloaded the updated driver as instructed but it still no go. Sorry, but don't waste your time and money, pick something else.
