I called the clinic a couple evenings ago about several questions and concerns about my dog. I thought my dog had to go to an emergency dog vet and called to ask about their emergency services. My dog's usual vet is in Santa Cruz. I lived over there for years and did not want to switch him over. They are very patient with my scared dog who pees and needs a muzzle. I also appreciate they provide several quotes on prices. I feel like I have decision in the medical care provided. I left Capitola Vet because they made decisions that cost me a lot of money.

Dr Carpio and the staff at East Lake Animale Clinic are so good at what they do! We had been working closely with Dr Carpio in regards to the Health of our sweet Dog Bella, but in the end we had to put her at peace. Dr Carpio explain step by step what was going to happen, he did it with compassion and patience. Just wanted to Thank Dr. Carpio and the staff. Dr. Carpio has been fair and reasonable with my two elderly poodles. I had been taking them to a practice that had retired and been looking for a vet I could trust again. The last vet, young Dr. Blom at Aptos Creekside Hospital, didn't order bloodwork or try antibiotics or cough syrup for my coughing dog and instead suggested surgery! Dr. Carpio rolled his eyes when he looked at the previous veterinarian's notes and said, quite reasonably, maybe do blood work and try an antibiotic before suggesting a lung biopsy. We had a good experience here. Called to get our puppies spayed and neutered and they got us in right away with no hassle. Did a good job and the follow up from Dr. Lee was really good. We would definitely go back.

East Lake Animal Clinic has an experienced veterinarian/surgeon in charge and he has done wonders for my three little Maltese dogs advising on their care. His staff and their manager have been helpful even though there was a surge of appointments since people are taking their pest more to the doctor's office during Covid. What won me over is they explain what they are going to do and why, share their advice and options, and follow though. My rule each day is dogs first and they have the same care in mind for all pets.

Great service, fast and quality care. The only complaint is that you require masks and don't honor the fact that customers who are already vaccinated should be able to walk in without a mask. Other than that, wonderful veterinary care

The avian vet was really friendly answered my questions and was reassuring. However, it took forever to see her, to get the medication, and to pay. I would have been home earlier had I gone to her regular vet in Monterrey and would have paid less to also see a knowledge doctor.

I have been bringing my dog to East Lake Animal Clinic since he was a puppy in 2014. I have had a slew of different experiences at this clinic, both ok and bad. I brought him in yesterday for a yearly check up and I wasn't expecting an excellent veterinary experience due to our past interactions with this clinic but I was pleasantly surprised at how our visit went.
