10 years ago, I wrote about my bad experience at East Lake animal clinic. I recently had an emergency with my dog and could not get her seen anywhere. My last resort was East Lake animal clinic so I called there. I asked if I could take my dog in and they said that I could. After I gave her my name, she said that they were not able see me. When I asked why she wouldn't say. The moral of the story is, don't give a bad review if you may have to use them in an emergency.

honestly the worst vet clinic I have ever been to with the rudest vet. when the doctor walked in my dog is a bigger dog and he was excited so we put our muzzle on and figured I would let my dog sniff him to get comfortabl. after which he basically yelled at me and my dog saying not to do that I not dealing with this otherwise you can leave. if my dog didn't need allergy medication so bad I would have just left

We made an appointment for my dog. They just keep you waiting. Took them 1 hour just to see my dog. Thats why they are called appointments so i wont wait. Staff just hung up on me when i was asking a question. Very disappointed with the clinic.

The veterinarian care is great. However, the accounting department chose to make sure they made money over the care of my cat with their overpriced online pharmacy. I found a topical diuretic for my cat somewhere else because East Lake didn't carry it. I had to submit a request twice over the course of a couple of weeks. The last request - a week and a half ago - was awaiting approval from the vet. A few days later, I got a call from Accounting, telling me the prices of their liquid diuretics. I explained again that my cat w... read more

I want to preface by saying that it's been years since I brought my dog here- I took a look at their website and it looks like all but one of the vets I was familiar with have left since my nightmare experience. The reason I continue to leave reviews is because while their previous vets have been able to move on unscathed from their time here, it is 2022 and I am still dealing with the the consequences from taking my Bear to this clinic. His original break happened late & this was the only place open- In hindsight, I would'v... read more

Business response:

Julia, We would like to set the record straight. You seemingly have forgotten you left the bandage on for more than a month and never returned as instructed in one week. Also the check you wrote us bounced. We were very sorry to hear your pet had to be euthanized when he broke his other leg.

We have been clients for 20+ years but have recently been thinking about changing to another clinic. I feel like they are over scheduling clients and are more focused on quantity, not quality. It took almost an hour to pick up my pets from their visit and baths. This was supposed to be just a pick up and pay. Every time I call I'm put on hold for several minutes which isn't the end of the world but is irrigating. It costs more to take my animals to the vet than it costs me to go to the doctor. I think I will be looking for ... read more

Business response:

Kris, we know your time is valuable and can assure you we make every effort to see clients in a timely manner. Due to the pandemic, we have had to do more curbside services, which holds up our phone system. We are sorry about being on hold for longer then we intend. We are not focused on just quantity in a negative way. We are one of the only clinics in the area who will try to accommodate urgent visits, in our already busy day because no one else will help them. We do it because of our love of the animals and their needs, a... read more

Do not take your dog here. They don't have a wait for a reason. Don't let them give your dog vaccines I know multiple people that their dogs passed away right after getting their vaccines from here. They don't care about your animals just money. Wait and make an appointment somewhere else. The employees also have terrible attitudes.

Business response:

We take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail. Our staff is in this field because they DO care about the animals. Employees do not set prices, so how can they be all about the money? I strongly suggest contacting the veterinarian after a tragic ending of a pets life if you think it was the vaccine that caused it. The vaccine companies actually need the reporting and will also help pay for any treatments or reimbursements, if it is determined to be caused by the v... read more

Got a phone call and confirmed an appointment 4:15pm and arrived at the hospital at 3:55pm and went to check-in Have waited for about 40 minutes and went back into front office few times before being admitted. Front office, Doctor and and staff re very professional however this place is over the over booked!

Business response:

Sadi, we know your time is valuable and can assure you we make every effort to see clients in a timely manner. As a walk-in clinic we cannot always predict the wait-time. Emergency cases also take priority at times and do cause inevitable delays. We always try to communicate our wait times to the best of our ability. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and are always open to feedback and suggestions.

I was overcharged and told different things than I was quoted on the phone. I thought my dog had a blockage in his intestine. They did x-rays which I agreed to. They were $479. I was them told that I needed blood work for another $480. This was due to my dogs diabetes. The only reason I went here was because it was Memorial Day and my vet was closed. When I explained that I would go the next day to my vet, they were very upset. I called my bet and found out the same blood work was already done on my dog when he was diagnosed... read more
