My own experience here is that they have been real good to me and my dog! They are expensive but have a clean clinic every time I go in.
I was very pleased with the services we received. I called on a Friday to make an appointment to take a friend's dog in to get spayed. The receptionist was very pleasant, and said they could do it as early as tomorrow (Saturday). The dog was pregnant, so I knew the cost would be a little higher than normal. The entire spay was about 200, to euthanize the puppies (she was that far along) was another 50, meds and shots and e-collar (all of which she needed) brought the total to 329--this for a major surgery and overnight hospi... read more
On Sat., Oct. 1, we had to put to sleep our 13 year old dog, Sparkle. Dr. Casper, Melissa, and Tania were so kind and helpful. Dr. Casper was very generous with his time and expertise in helping us come to the decision to put her to sleep. The staff was patient and sensitive to our desire to put her to sleep in the hatch of our car, rather than in the office. It was a beautiful, sunny morning; it just seemed like the right place. Really nothing not to like. Great staff, what I think are fair prices, clean facilities, neat parking lot decor.
I took my dog to Dr. Carroll after being to two other vets that couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. The other vets wanted to run a lot of test and x-rays, but Dr. Carroll figured out he had esosinophipic myositis, a muscle condition, in about 5 minutes and put him on a medication called prednisone that cured him. I was very impressed. Great place, great doctor.
I have lived in Santa Cruz County all of my life and have had two vets before I found Dr. Carroll at East Lake Animal Clinic. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I cannot believe all the negativity. Form your own opinion. The prices are reasonable and my dogs aren't afraid to be handled by their staff. The front desk can get a little busy and scattered sometimes, but overall, we found the whole business to be fantastic.

pretty much the only place where my dog gets his shots and grooming needs.their hours are awesome and quite easy to plan around.staff is always greeting you with a smile and quite knowledgeable every time we have questions.parking lot is quite funny with fire hydrants as parking posts,nice touch!!
Dr Liau is the best vet I have been to in all my 16 animals that have gone to East Lake. My husband brought our dog (Tubby) in with a massive dog fight wound to his chest. Dr Liaus gentle hands and kind manner made all the difference. he is the embodiement of a vet- kind, sure of himeself and his diagnosis and above all you could tell that he cared about our dog.
