This hospital was great two years ago when I first joined the Paw Plan. But the customer service has gone downhill. And DO NOT get the Paw Plan unless you are sure you are going to use all services because they will not refund you if you cancel and have not used the services for that year. (I.e. dental cleaning, blood panel). I gave this hospital $700 and just got vaccines this year. I have never been as disappointed and sad as I was today with the doctors and staff at EVAH. My beautiful young Brittany, Fletcher, after throwing up his food in the morning, was vomiting blood by mid-afternoon and when I called EVAH the staff and doctors referred me to emergency hospitals, which is standard. Horrible place!! They will rip you off and you'll have to resort to taking them to court, which I did, and WON, to get a judgement against them!! So avoid the headache and go elsewhere!

People that answer phone don't place your med order for pick up.( Thursday)(pick up Friday at 11) About noon no answer the phone. Then when you stop by to get your med for your dog. You have to wait more time or come back again. Or wait for a call back 4 hrs now & still waiting

I am "just over" East Ventura Animal Hospital. They first send multiple cards telling me my dogs need a distemper shot. Along with the cards I got DAILY emails saying the same. After 3 months of this, to get them off my back, I make an appointment to get the shots. Then I get DAILY reminders of the appointment I made for them. Finally they email me to confirm the appointments, which I did. The afternoon before my appointment they CALLED to once more remind me. I have never missed a doctor or vet appointment. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE. I generally write positive, constructive reviews for places I go, but I had an awful experience here. In addition, they repeatedly addressed me as "Mr." I am not a man, I don't look like a man, I don't sound like a man, it was just being intentionally rude. They acted very kind and casual from the beginning, but I paid 3× the amount of money I've paid elsewhere for a simple fecal test. 13 year old cat was brought in for overgrooming. Cat had small injuries from a cat fight with other cats. Cat fights has increased due to stress from roofing and jackhammering from pool resurfacing in housing complex. Construction had been going on for about 2 months when the overgrooming started. Dr. Thomas diagnosised this as a *GI Tumor* and flea allergy and refused to treat for the stress grooming. It's unfortunate that the office manager from East Ventura Animal Hospital is referring established patients who appreciated the holistic vet that provided acupuncture and herbs and just recently left, to a completely new vet, instead of providing information about where this holistic vet actually is practicing

Be wary at this Veterinary clinic!!! They WILL try to up sell you on everything. Doing unnecessary tests to up the bill- suggesting things to up sell you. Just be smart here. They are very nice, however, when you tell them no. Which is a plus. Ask questions here. That is my best suggestion. They are very sweet to the animals. That part is good.
