Dr. Fowell at East Ventura Animal Hospital was recommended to me when I discovered Max had hip displaysia at 5 years old. Max is now 16 years old and we are dealing with end of life issues. The Veterinarians and staff have always been exceptionally caring and professional with me and Max. I can't imagine anything they could do to make me feel better about the treatment of my beloved dog.
I brought my kitty to the East Ventura Animal Hospital about two months ago and we very happy with the service I received. My appointment was a bit of an emergency (my kitty was in a lot of pain) and the staff squeezed me in very quickly. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The vet was patient, kind and knowledgeable. We were in and out in no time and my kitty was on his way to recovery. My father also took all of his dogs here and loved this vet office. If he was still with us - he would still be taking his dogs here! T... read more
We were bummed to hear that Dr. Baker was no longer seeing patients. We (including our lab Bailey) have loved seeing him over the years. Our disappointment quickly vanished upon meeting Dr. Kelly. She is also amazing! We appreciated her thoroughness, candor, care, and professionalism. She gave us options for several conditions we were dealing with, but did not try to push any meds on our dog. Never a negative experience with anyone in the front office, techs, or doctors. We went to another local animal clinic when we firs... read more
We've been taking our dog and cats to EVAH for 10 years and the doc's are compassionate, understanding and real people. Everyone hopes that the day will never come when you'll have to euthanize a pet, but the vet there was very supportive and understanding when we had to do so. We've run the who gamit from spay and neuter to stitches and tick removal, all very professionally performed and no issues afterwards. The front end does get busy, but they are very helpful and compassionate as well. The only negative is that they a... read more
I have been going to the East Ventura Animal Hospital for 15+ years and I can truly say all the doctors are caring and very good. Dr. Fowell has been my vet for many of those 15 years and I have been very impressed with her caring and diagnostic abilities. With that said, all the doctors and staff make me feel my pet is part of their extended family and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Anthony Ventura
I don't say this lightly; They employ some of the worst people in the world to be working in vetinary care. Rude staff. Cold. Heartless. Don't bring a pet you love and care about to this disgraceful place. Multiple stories from multiple clients about them doing more harm than good to their pets, then the front desk behaves unprofessional to a point of cruelty when their clients point out how they've failed their pets. Can't say enough bad things about this place, will have you leave feeling sick to your stomach. Go to a vet ... read more
Worst vet experience of my life. My dog has no more hearing because of this vet. Rude staff. Heartless. Could care less how they themselves cause injury to your dog. Then you get no apology. They mock you, then delete your honest reviews on their horrible business cuz they can't handle simply firing staff for not behaving professionally. They made my dog lose its hearing and then their receptionist jumped into a conversation that I wasn't even having with him, mocked me about it and told me to get out when I was in tears com... read more
Be careful, they do everything in their power to delete their bad reviews and hide the horrible experiences people have had with them! This vet is on another level of unprofessionalism. They made my dog lose its hearing and then their receptionist mocked me about it and told me to get out when I was in tears complaining about it. They're not simply rude, they are heartless, cruel, unsympathetic and half this staff should not be allowed to be working with animals. DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED PETS TO THESE DISGUSTING PEOPLE.
I have read the response from the veterinary clinic. I never once yelled at Brandon and upon leaving, he laughed at me so I turned around and told him don't you dare laugh. I feel his attitude was snarky and very unprofessional as well. As for the customer who said she'd been there over 20 years and watched Brandon and how professional he was I believe it was an exaggeration on her part as when I was there, she said she had been a customer for 15 years, not 20 and in no way was Brandon professional... he was sarcastic and ... read more
Business response:
We are so sorry for the loss of Luca. Losing a beloved family member is incredibly hard, and you have our deepest sympathy. Regarding your Paw Plan, the monthly payment helps spread the cost of preventive care over a year. Because discounted services were used at the time of enrollment, there can still be a balance even if a pet passes away before the plan term ends. This is well explained in the contract that was signed when Luca was signed up. We also want to address your recent visit. Another long-time client who witn... read more
