Sad to say after 9 years as members we are done. EDHSC does not enforce their rules. I've had friends leave in the past because of this as well. God help you if you have to deal with the general manager...who is demeaning and disrespectful. I guess I should thank him since we have found a better and less expensive place for our family to work out...without the kaos this place generates. I will say the Asante Spa associated with them is fabulous! Unfortunately Spare Time Clubs will never see another dime from our family.

So this gym has too many broken machines to count, and they leave them unattended for MONTHS on end... It's really frustrating, also it seems like there are too many people enrolled at this particular gym and there aren't enough machines nor weights to accommodate the 5'o clock rush... Not to mention their showers have extremely low water pressure and are rarely cleaned... And to top it off their holiday hours are bizarre. Why would you close at 5 pm on New Years day? Someone is pulling down negative reviews of this sports club and allowing the glowing reviews to stay. This is a terrible sports club and they have no problem charging people for a month after they close their membership. When a person refuses to pay for something that they are not using or contractually obligated to pay for, they turn it over to collections. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUB! (This is my 3rd post and I hope this one stays up)

I think S.B.'s review is spot on. It is pretty easy to figure out the revenue this club brings in each month and the value you get in return just isn't there. I'm fully aware the $166 I pay each month for my family of four is a rip-off; however, there isn't another place nearby that offers childcare. I found this place to be overpriced and very "meat market". The equipment are pool are nice as is the kids room. The classes are always packed and hard to get into :( I went to a smaller place instead

Beware...this club will take your money with a sense of urgency when you signup, but will not immediately close your account when you request to cancel your membership. I have been a loyal member for 1.5 years. When I requested to cancel my monthly membership they told me I had to pay for another 6 weeks of future dues as they could not immediately cancel my membership. The membership contract we have each member sign upon joining explains that request of termination prior to the 15th of the month will allow for membership termination at the end of the month. I frequent this place. At most I will be here 6 times a week. I have participated in various classes including yoga and cardio boxing. I've had personal training sessions. I've eaten in the cafe many times and even spent time lounging and swimming in their pools. I've pretty much used every part of this gym and I really do enjoy all of it. This place has all the amenities. The trainers and the staff are all super friendly and the spa has good stuff. a bit pricey but it is quality shit. The facility itself is OKAY with plenty of machines and decent classes. The staff on the other hand are sub par at best. The front desk staff becomes easily overwhelmed when there are more than 2 people in line and acts as if they are doing you a BIG favor by doing anything other than handing you a towel. The main manager does NOT take feedback well. She is rude and condescending. Gee, wonder where the rest of the staff get their attitudes?
Despite it's premier location, new facilities, and clientele willing to shell out the inflated membership fees, EDHSC still comes up lacking. I've come here to work out for the first five years that it was open merely because of it's proximity as well as the fact that my parents were able to pay for my fees.
