Nice gym....But check out FULL THROTTLE FITNESS located in El Dorado Hills. Better rates, more value, and a family friendly atmosphere where everyone can get fitness training for one low price.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this gym. I'm sorry but the other reviewers are way off base. First of all, the gym is gorgeous. It is HUGE with basketball courts, some cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, universal machines, tv's, HUGE locker rooms w/ sauna/steam room, and a cafe and sitting area. I'm coming from a 24hr fitness in the bay area so my comparison says this sports club is fantastic. There is ample amount of free towels and the front desk is super friendly. The avg workers seem to be high schoolers who seems not as professional about their work but whatever, the machines are new and clean. There are always plenty of cardio machines to go around. The only negative thing is the price, but then again, I'm coming from a 24hr fitness price so I guess you get what you pay for!
I moved to the EDH location from Broadstone cause it was closer to my parents house and cheaper. That was kind of a bad move cause since January I've been like 3 times. The cardio fitness room and the group workout room is upstairs providing bad ventilation and upstairs-muggyness i could really do without. The front desk lady was very condescending and made extremely snide and rude comments. I've had multiple people and mutuals say the same thing. She had an accent and made unneeded comments and remarks

Since you are looking for retaining members and acquire new sign-ups, please invest in the following details: In the upstairs room with the treadmills, bikes, step machines, etc. please upgrade the older bikes and step machines as well as replace the windows with broken seals and moisture between the panes (disgusting to look out at as you are exercising). Just moved to El Dorado Hills and wanted to check out the local gym. I've stopped by twice now, just hoping to look around and get some info on membership prices. The first time, about a month ago, I was told no one was available to give me a tour and I'd need to make an appointment. I really wanted to continue my membership with this gym when I turned 25. When I came in on my birthday, (last hour of closing) I was working out in the weights area. In the middle of my workout one of the front desk staff walked right up to me and told me my membership was cancelled.
