I wanted to give this gym 4 or 5. My family and I have been a member since it opened around 8 years ago and I enjoy the yoga and pilates studio. From my perspective, the gym does a reasonable job with offering a variety of classes and keep the fitness floor up to date and clean. The problem for me is price to value. The gym is pretty 'standard', as is the service. Yet the fees (especially when you add pilates or hot yoga) are premium. For me to be happy with the price, I need to experience premium service. Nice place but really small, equipment is placed way too close for a comfortable workout, they just changed their carpet on the main floor which is nice because it looked really old. They do have a day care for children starting from six weeks old and older which is rare to find at sports clubs. A little pricey for what you get, otherwise it ok.
The classes at this gym are wonderful. I am a big fan of the spin classes!!! This gym is in a prime location and the staff is extremely friendly, especially Hazel. I was able to get a guest pass for 2 weeks (which most gyms would not be kind enough to do!) so I could work out while staying with my parents who live in the area and belong to the gym.

When the Sports Club of EDH first opened, about 8 years ago, we signed up and were faithful members for 2 years, then we "slacked-off" and stopped our membership. Fast forward to October 2013 and the opportunity came around to be selected for their "lean-up" program through my wife's job. This is definitely a club, not a gym. Everyone is extremely friendly, there is child care, a year-round heated pool, and you feel like you are at a resort. The classes are amazing. Great all around!

conflicted on this review. Pros: great space, variety of equipment, classes, kids club, etc. Yoga studio is awesome Cons: overpriced for what you get. entitled and self-important clientel. Trainers. Extra fees for yoga. Love parts of this gym (great kids club/offerings, front office staff is cordial, etc.) and seriously can't stand others (a number of personal trainers here are rude to non-clients and absolutely underwhelming.) Like: Clean, machines and weights rarely so busy that you have to wait. Hate: Petulant brats that can't rerack their weights.
I love this Sports Club. I have worked out here for six years. This facility is friendly to kids. It has two kid centers. One for older kids and one for younger kids. It has a great set of pools and outdoor seating to relax. The weight room is first rate. The cafe is has good food as well. There are also good classes available. I can recommend this gym to everyone.
