This is a horrible pet insurance company! I wish I could give negative stars. You can expect any significant claim you submit to be denied for some arbitrary reason even though you submit every single thing they request. We got pet insurance for our young dog- two year old puppy. Our dog tore his CCL and ended up needing surgery. They paid for x-ray, but wouldn't cover the surgery stating that a previous vet visit claimed he had hind limb lameness, which our vet said was completely unrelated. Unfortunately, *** was seen on 5/11/19, which was during the 6-month orthopedic waiting period, for lameness in the right rear leg. Terrible service! Their customer service is terrible and they won't even cover allergies, let alone serious illnesses or injuries.

Hello *****, I apologize that you were not happy with your Embrace policy. When a policy is first purchased, there is a 14-day illness waiting period as well as a 6-month orthopedic waiting period. Any abnormalities that are noted from 12 months prior to the policy start date until the end of the waiting periods are listed as a pre-existing condition. I insured my cat in 2018 and spent a year and a half paying for their regular and wellness insurance. In April 2020, I took my cat to the emergency ER because she was having trouble breathing, was told her lungs were filling with fluids and blood, and within 24 hours, she had died. Don't use Embrace pet insurance. I insure 7 pets and every claim as been denied for whatever reason they can find. I had a kitten die at 6 months old from pneumonia and they denied the claim. It took five months of fighting and we received $900 on a $2,600 bill after they finished excluding everything. These people are terrible. They are not there for us or our pets. Do NOT insure your pet through Embrace Pet Insurance! They denied coverage of my dog's cancer treatment because of a history of diarrhea, vomiting, decreased appetite, and weight loss. My dog's oncologist and primary care doctor both wrote letters to them about those symptoms being super vague and being applicable to many other, routine ailments. Denied $13,000 worth of claims when my dog came down with chylothorax and needed emergency surgery and multiple chest taps. They denied it based on a "pre-exisiting condition" because she had breathing/respiratory issues a few months prior to her hospitalization. However, at the time we saw she had breathing issues, our vet said it was most likely from allergies, because her allergy panel came back with almost everything in red, including grass and pollen which can cause BOTH respiratory and skin symptoms. Takes months to process any claim. I have had multiple claims with them all taking months saying they need a full medical history. Then when I give them all the vets my pets have been too, they keep contacting one I never have been too saying they are waiting for chart notes. We feel we were scamed! We purchased this insurance 2/2/2020 and have not received anything for any claims. Our grace period was up 2/15/2020 and still no claims have been paid as of 5/30/2020. No contact with company by email or phone. They will not talk with me or answer my emails. They have every vet piece of paperwork for my dog and still won't pay for anything! Complete rip-off, Don't waste your money. Embrace is a complete scam that not only costs you money, but hours of your life you'll never get back trying to get your claim paid. We have had an absolutely terrible experience with this company. They prey on people who are just trying to protect their "little ones" by getting them the best care possible.
