Luke came out the same day we called to look over the yard. Seemed like an honest guy. He walked us through the yard and explained what really needed to be done vs things that would fix themselves over time. We have had two applications done on our yard and the yard is starting to look better. His rates per application were quite similar to other quotes we got (around $50+tax per application), but we hired Luke due to his reviews on Angie's List, and also his professionalism.
Our lawn was out of control so we had them come check it out. They were very nice and courteous. Two different guys came out and we were happy with the work them.
I don't know yet. Luke convinced me that he would personally work with me to make my lawn healthy again, based on his 15 years of experience working for his competitors. He's local and the owner so I chose to do business with him directly. So far, he's done a few extra things to earn the business and he's timely with follow ups.
Based on Angie's List recommendations, I decided to give Emerald a shot. Luke came out, gave the yard a look and we set up a 7 times a year maintenance schedule plus grub. Friendly, helpful and honest. No contracts, so continued service is based on consistent work and results. Definitely recommend on these merits.

They treated our yard for ants because we have a daughter Allergic to Ants, when we requested the service they were very nice and were here in 2 days. Well, the ant treatment didn't work and in 2 months we had ants again. It's been a week since we called and we still haven't had anyone come out. It's been very hard because we are all stuck at home and my kids can't go out and play.
