I know this will be long but hope it will help with your roofing desicion. Our household is different. My husband is a former Marine Vietnam era Vet. He is no longer able to make home maintenance decisions so it fell to me and I knew nothing about roofs. To complicate matters our daughter lives with us, and is also a disabled vet (10 years Navy, medically discharged) and will inherit once we are gone.
