I booked the smoking room but when I enter the room, smells like horrible smoke only

Convenient to the highway, very pleasant staff. Continental breakfast was prepack muffins "grab and go." The room carpet did not feel/smell clean although the remainder of the room was just fine.

Room smelled we had to spray febreeze, tried to call down to the front desk for a coffee pot, but the phone didn't work, when i did walk down for a coffee pot, i didn't receive any coffee. We had to walk to Walmart. The hotel was in a good location for what we needed, price was good. The restaurant/bar across the street was good too.

Got 2 phones call around 530-6am about an alarm going off but did not hear any such alarm. The front staff that called was chuckling which didn’t make me feel as if the “alarm” was even true.
My first disappointment was to find out I was book for a smoker room which I still don’t understand how did it happened. I do not smoke at all and can’t stand the smell. However, the lady at the front desk understood my frustration and found a none smoker room. My second disappointing was the next day when I got back to the hotel, after a long day of class and I even bought my dinner to eat in my room, and found out nonbody has clean the room. I loved the location however the cleanliness was not the best... i had to kill 2 bugs as soon as i arrived to the room.
