The front desk lady was very nice. Our room looked alright, it needs updated. There were very few amemities and that was a little disappointing. Overall, it was quiet and I was able to sleep throughout the night.

State Fair trip I was in DM for the State Fair. Yes Urbandale is a long way from the fairgrounds but the deal was good. The room was good but I wish there was a coffee maker. There were two negatives. One. The room was on the west side of the building which was a stone's throw from the interstate. It was noisy 24 hours a day. Second. the free breakfast was a joke. Coffee, packaged muffins and instant oatmeal made with hot water. I drove a couple miles east to find an IHOP as there is nothing around this location.

Very well area. Everyone was very nice. Room did kind of smell but no big deal. Very comfy beds

clean room but dirty toilet Checked in late after a wedding and dance. They put us in a queen when we reserved a king. Finally got our King after being told the hotel was booked up. The room was cleaned however it was pretty evident since the room had been cleaned that a male used the toilet as the seat was up and there was dribble on the rim. Our room had a bad musty smell to it and the sheets didn’t feel very clean.

I checked in later in the evening and learned that my room had been released. The on duty manager who was very friendly was apologetic and found another room in the facility as an accommodation. This property is an older facility that is need of updates. Also because it is an extended stay property, there appeared to be many long term residents. A car was on blocks in the rear. Interior colors are dark and hallways and carpets need to be cleaned/replaced. This was not like other Holiday Inn properties that I've visited.
