Nice accomodations Had a very good experience, safe location, lots of restaurants in area. Staff was not the friendliest, but was not impolite either. Bath tub took forever to drain, but all in all was a good stay. Comfortable bed, full sized fridge and range top built in. Good cold air which was great with 90+ heat outside! Be sure and bring extra pillows there.

Not Really Impressed I am a frequently stay in hotels and I was not very pleased with a few things at Homestead Suites - Poplar Avenue. First, we were placed in a room that had electrical issues and had to switch rooms. Second, you have to pay $5 for internet access. Third, the fact that they allow dogs in the hotel isn't very comfortable for people who aren't pet owners. Fourth, they do not offer breakfast at the hotel. I don't plan to stay here any time soon.

Good place for the price It was an alright place to stay. Lots of room & it was clean. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head after a night out, then this is a place for you.

Okay, but cleanliness and service lacking Overall, this Homestead was about like all the others. However what cinched me never going back again was that when I checked into my room, the toilet had dried urine on the bowl rim and there were hairs all over the toilet. This had obviously NOT been cleaned. When I alerted the desk clerk to the issue, she acted like I had inconvenienced her by asking her to have someone clean it. It was still not spotless, but it was better after she "re-cleaned" it. This Homestead is dead to me.

=) The hotel was average and the staff was pretty nice. I left several items in my room after I checked out and the staff held them for me until I could come pick them up!!

Convenient - Clean & Friendly Staff I did have a problem with the AC unit the first night but the Staff and Orbitz got right on it and replaced the unit the next day. After that, everything was perfect. Very Happy. Recommend it if you need a place where you can cook to save a buck or two.
