Friendly enough staff, but poorly operated. Comically bad, really. No one at the front desk, no coffeemaker in the room, no shampoo or conditioner, wretched selection of breakfast options, and nothing close by to substitute for all that was missing.
Awful Dirty Dump Beyond awful. We park, observe a junky car squealing through the parking lot, check in, walk through the smoke filled hallways, get to our room, and the bed isn’t made; no sheets, no towels, pillows all over the floor, blankets everywhere, and everything is filthy. We call downstairs and this is the only room they have. Unbelievable.
Scary unsafe!! I included an image of the notice on the door that outlines what guests should watch for, including people impersonating employees! I think it speaks for itself. Never have I encountered a disclaimer such as this. I chose this hotel thinking Bay Farm would be safer than Oakland ( I grew up in the area) and the location is safe but not hotel because of the bad element, the other guests. The property listed full breakfast, but it was nothing but "Grab and Go," which was coffee, muffins and granola bars, which was very disappointing. The exercise room had some ancient equipment and the air conditioning in the room didn't work.
Just say no Two good things: the staff members were very pleasant and the bed was clean and comfortable. The rest was way less than satisfactory. For someone working away from home on per diem looking to save a bit, this might be worth it. It was not suitable for a senior woman traveling alone to visit elderly family who live near the airport. Signing is they gave me the wrong room so had to go down and sit for 30 while they redid reservations. The bed was very lumpy old mattress.
