No frills but I'd stay again As a woman staying in a hotel alone, safety is my biggest issue. I liked that the hotel is close to a major shopping center which includes Target, Safeway, Ulta, Nordstrom Rack, Michael's crafts, etc. In other words, lots of entertaining and/or necessary shops close by. Parking is free and in my four nights I always managed to get a spot within 4-5 cars of the front door. My room was on the second floor and very quiet. Visiting Family My husband and I had a WONderful stay in this hotel, "Extended Stay America Oakland - Emeryville". There are even luggage racks for making transporting luggage to the individual hotel rooms easier and more convenient. However, you may want to call "Extended Stay America Oakland - Emeryville" in advance and double check the actual "width" in size of the bed in the room that you are reserving. Looking for a home away from home! My stay at the Emeryville Extended Stay was great! The staff was helpful but not so friendly! I arrived early and wanted to see if I could check in early because I work nights and the only person at at the desk didn't even acknowledge that I was at the counter initially! She pretty much acted like I was inconveniencing her to look up and say I'll be right with you. My friend began knocking on the counter before she said anything to us. The pictures are different from real life The rooms are big and full kitchen which is nice. There is no daily guest room service, the hotel has a weird smell, and found dirty sheets. I will not stay here again ever.
