Beds not comfortable & AC wasn’t cold enough

I will preface this by noting that I am deaf in one ear. This was the nosiest hotel I've ever stayed at. The people above me sounded like elephants walking back and forth for hours and at two points it sounded as if a piece of furniture tipped over. This wouldn't have been terrible if they hadn't stayed up until 2-3am in the morning. I stayed for 3 nights and did not sleep through the night once. I hate to give a bad review because the staff was soooo nice and professional. But. The room I was given smelled like poison gas was being pumped in. It must not have been just my room as I noticed that the occupant of the room across the hall from me left their open all day and night! I've never seen anything like that before. The smell seemed to be on the 2nd floor right side emergency stairwell, my room, and hallway. I had to sleep with a T-shirt over my face and only slept a couple of hours each night. Great stay except for trash trucks right outside our window woke me up at 4:50am! Shame because the hotel itself was nice.

It wasn’t up to par. There were odors from the cleaning products in the room and hallways. Also, there were odd smells in the hallways. Shower door was water stained and not cleaned. Fitness room needs serious help. NONE of the equipment worked. That was a big letdown. The cables were all twisted on the weight machine. Laundry room was good but door did not self close to lock behind you.

Not a good stay at Extended Stay hotel in Rockingham/Harrisonburg, VA. The first room we got we found the door unlocked and open a bit, then one bed looked like it was sat on and the other bed had a pillow with what looked like spots of blood stains on it and both beds looked like they weren't made up properly. No big deal about the slightly unkempt beds, but the stains! Gross! We told the asst. mgr. who moved us to another room but that wasn't much better. I had confirmed booking, but after arriving at 1 am ET with kids, the hotel said, We don't have any booking in your name.

The table was dirty and had not been wiped. There were dustballs under the table and hair in the bathroom sink and towels. Ask front desk if room had been cleaned and was told yes. Was offered another room but I did not want to pack and repack so I cleaned the room myself. Disappointing.
