Unpleasant stay and misguiding ratings for hotel The ratings and description about this hotel and its location is misguiding. On reaching the hotel we found a lot of people not staying at the hotel hanging around in the parking lot which made us concerned about our safety and the safety of our belongings and vehicle. We have no issues with homeless people staying nearby, but allowing them to hang out in guest parking lots is a concern. If this was mentioned we would have looked for other hotels. I had to leave From the church renting the dining room playing loud music and having a cookout on the front drive, the sketchy surroundings, the room that smelled like musty urine, it was more than I could handle. The most positive part of the experience was Dorothy at the front desk doing everything she could to give options of a better room and help control noisy people. Homeless people hang around day and night. Cigarettes' spot anywhere.

They were more expensive then in the past and had cut back on amenities. No washcloths in the room, Shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers out....hard as cardboard kleenex. Very cheap breakfast. Will not stay again.

The homeless situation in Portland is out of hand. I thought it would be ok to stay out of the main part of Portland, but no, it is everywhere! I get it, people are in need of help and care - but Portland doesnt seem to care about anyone, visitors OR homeless. There were shady dealings in the hotel parking lot, day and night. People going though the garbage right outside our window, along with idling cars with men changing cars and and women going into the hotel only to leave around 30 minutes later. Drugs? Prostitution? Close to interstate. Was the only good thing. I had a hard time getting over the homelessness around the hotel. Just down the block was maybe 20/30 homeless tents set up. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who is concerned for themselves or their vehicles.

I never got to stay there they had every excuse in the book to not rent me the room
