unbeatable value for the price We've found the Homestead Suites in San Carlos to be exceptionally good! It was very clean and quiet and the staff completely service oriented. We were very impressed and have stayed there twice now on trips to the Bay area. This is definitely our hotel of choice and would recommend it to anyone travelling to the South Bay!

Take it as you want The hotel was easy to find, but it was in the middle of a lot of autmotive shops. The room was great, but the bed was very hard and there was not one trash can anywhere.

You get what you pay for Highlights: *Access to mass transit (CalTrain) requires you to walk through some very questionable neighborhoods of Redwood City. *There are very few options for restaurants (McDonalds and Pizza Hut are within 0.3 miles).

Good Value Other "extended stay" hotels I've stayed at have larger rooms, continental breakfast, and open longer hours. Bathroom grout needed cleaning, and bathroom walls repaired and painted.

Solid choice for the price. Check in was easy and fast. The hotel is situated on the campus of an office building, next to an industrial road with some residential and lots of businesses. However, the hotel was right in between the two scenes. Check in and out was easy and fast. The room was properly sized for the price, big enough to put your feet up but not enough to do much else. The rate was very satisfactory the only problem is that because the rooms have kitchenettes the room smell likes different kinds of foods.
