it is what it is The exterior needs to be cleaned for trash, bottles, and cigarette butts daily, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Room was adequate for our needs and clean overall. Service tended to be a bit slow. One side exit had a "permanent cast" of drinkers and smokers, so if things like that bother you, this is probably not your kind of place.

I don't like the smell in the hallways. Smells like cooking oil or something odd
Smoking in the building I had to sign a waiver that said there was no smoking in building or it was a $250 fine. The 2nd floor, where my room was, smelled like smoke as soon as I got off the elevator. I don't know how they monitored the smoking in the building but it did not smell good.

Better than sleeping in your car AC in my room didn’t work well. When I complained at the front desk on a Saturday morning, I was told the maintenance man wouldn’t be until Monday. (My check out day) I asked to be switched to a different room in the front desk clerk said they were full although I doubt that was true. The grab and go breakfast was coffee, hot water for tea or oatmeal or hot chocolate, breakfast bars, and unappealing muffins.
