I've had stuff stored wayyyy to long at extra space--5 years at this point. The good: No bugs, no rodents, climate controlled unit, keycard gate and on-site staff (9-5) keeping your stuff safe. I've really had no issues with my stuff being stored there. The bad: They get you in there with a low rate, and then in a few months your rent could as much as double....you often don't know when rent is going up. Wonderful first experience! The property managers (husband and wife) were both super friendly and sweet. I personally have another storage unit in San Jose but this location is decently located off the freeway, across the CVS if you need anything and Tesla Chargers for convenience

Used this facility to store a small amount of stuff on behalf of a family member for a few months. Customer service was excellent even until the very last minute! When I first called for the space I was given specifics on what to do- my questions were answered etc. When I left, same experience! super helpful. I reserved the unit online, all the information was sent to my email and everything was ready for me on site. The best storage in the El Cerrito area! The customer service is superb and they accommodated my needs with no problems. I particular like the security safety features at this location. My personal belongings are secure, protected, and free from being damage or wet by the rain. Being able to pay the entire time of my storage upfront was a bonus. I highly recommend Extra Space Storage to anyone looking to store your items. Don't look anywhere else just go and you can thank me later!
