Moved from out a town a rented one of their biggest units. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we had to switch to a smaller unit a month later, we got no complaints at all. The place may be more expensive but this is the first storage unit that I've had so I'm unsure. The place is nice and clean, and pretty secure - what more could you ask for.
What can you really say about a storage facility? Since this is my first storage unit facility I have ever used, I will say this...Secure - Check, Priced right - Check, Available help - Check, Easy access to my storage room - Check, No Need for Elevators - Check. This place is nice and clean, the front desk team is very helpful and informative, especially about payments (types, liability's, etc). As long as I make my payments, I wont be on an episode of Storage Wars! Sweet. Thanks ESS for giving me the space I need.
1. This was the best deal for the size space I was renting within 5 miles of my home! Other storage spaces were quoting me similar prices for smaller units. 2. The customer service I received was great! The woman I worked with was very personable, light sense of humor & went out of her way to show me things & explain things. Went in on a Saturday and there was only one person working, Guillermo. He was with a customer but quickly acknowledged us and said that he would be with us shortly. At the same time two additional customer came in and were told the same thing. Guillermo handled all of us at the same time and was very friendly. Everyone was very patient and understood that he was the only one there. He said that he was not supposed to be there that day but the regular staff was not able to be there. Nice facility, clean and well-kept. But don't expect the price you are quoted to last very long. I was warned that I might have a 5-10% increase within the first 6 months, but 30% within 3 and then another 30% 6 months later was enough to move me out.

WARNING ridiculous HIDDEN CHARGES! My rent went up $100 after just 3 months! I went from$222 to $319! The website had Zero Mention of it Being any type of "promotional rate" but they sneak it in the contract that they send you a copy of that the price "could" go up. Even so, my contract stated a LOWER number than what they tried to raise it to!! This place gets a 1 star for fake reviews. Lol. Just look at all the 5 star reviews. These people are fake accounts or padded. This place is a dump. Every time I come just to store things. There's people working, and there's ALWAYS a mess. Today, I couldn't even get into my storage unit due to another customer having their ENTIRE UNIT OUT IN THE CORRIDOR. LARGE UNANNOUNCED RENT INCREASES IS A COMPANYWIDE POLICY AND TACTIC SO IT AFFECTS ALL LOCATIONS, NOT JUST THE ONE I RENTED FROM. Do not rent from Extra Space Storage. 1. Hidden in their agreement is that they can (and do) raise your rent at any time. 2. After ONE MONTH at the advertised rate that I signed up for ($167/mo) they raised it by 50%!!! 3.
