This place has a nice bait and switch policy going. You will sign up for one price and after you have it full of your stuff on month 5 they increase the monthly rate. Knowing if you're there long term you probably aren't going to move your stuff over $30. It's a slime ball tactic. The girl at the counter said this "usually happens on the 5th month". That slip up shows that's their plan out of the gate. On month 5 they increase the rate. I have too much stuff to move so they got me. Don't rent space from these people.

Not sure if this is any better or worse than any other facility - perhaps they're all the same. All I know is in 3 years time my storage rent has gone from $56 to $80 per month for a 5 x 6 room on the second floor. I was in Europe for most of the time and could not access my account online nor obtain a statement, despite repeated email requests. My locker was robbed less than 2 months after moving my furniture in. The lock (that I purchased from Extra Space) was picked and all $3700 worth of furniture was moved out. There was no sign of forced entry and everything looked normal. When I informed the clerk that my stuff was missing, she rolled her eyes as if thinking, "not again." I filed a police report with Irvine PD and the officer told me I was the 5th locker to be robbed in 3 months in that facility. I came home after working overseas for 5 months and went to my storage unit to find that many of my belongings had been stolen. The funny thing was there is no sign of forced entry. When I approached my storage unit, everything seemed normal, that is until I opened it and noticed things were out of place and completely disorganized. If I could have selected negative stars I would have. DO NOT use this facility. My unit got broken into and a lot of stuff was taken; I have insurance on the unit but at first the insurance company denied my claim because there was no sign of forced entry; after three weeks of reaching out to the staff I finally was able to talk to someone and they called the insurance company and got the ball rolling but only because the facility itself filed a police report as well. I will throw my shit out before I rent from these people ever again. You go in and they ask you to write a review before you even rent the unit. Once you rent the unit, they never answer the phone or return your calls. They NEVER told me that they raise the rent ever 6 months or some bull. Sandra and Lucy are horrible employees, they signed me up. They ever ask that you mention them in the review...so I did. You're welcome!

We used this storage facility to store items for my dad as he downsized to a smaller home. After a couple of years and the price continuing to creep up, he decided to close his unit. Our family helped him move out of the unit in a timely fashion so that he was not charged for the additional month. He was completely moved out by the beginning of the month but Extra Space charged his credit card on the 12th of the month anyways for the upcoming month. Heads up all of you who have storage spaces here - there have been a number of spaces burglarized here recently. The manager isn't notifying anyone or telling people when they come in, so be sure and go check your space immediately so you can report any losses to the police and your insurance company.

We stored my Grandmothers belongings here for over 8 years. We paid on time and in full, even after multiple requests to have our invoices sent to our house after the company changed hands. When we attempted to vacate, after the death of our Grandmother, we were met with an incredibly rude woman, Sandra. She would not allow family into the unit even though they had an invoice, grandma's ID and death certificate. She was rude, callous and not compassionate.
