3 people found out they were burglarized in two days. I made a police report this morning. I lost about twelve grand in property. Things I can't replace. The other guy talking to police lost tons sports memorabilia. Probably worth thousands. This has been going on for a while. They don't care to tell you about the burglaries. Move Out UPDATE***** On Friday 6/24, my hired moving company and I arrived prepared to remove my belongings from the storage unit. After unlocking the unit for the guys, I immediately went to the Extra Space Storage office and notified the leasing agent(s) of my departure and move-out date effective as soon as the storage was free of my property. I understand that there's only so much a storage facility can do with regards to pests. However, I just emptied my unit yesterday and was disgusted to find a live roach chilling out on one of the boxes today. There were no roaches in my last apartment, which had regular pest treatments; there is no doubt where this came from. By all means, this place is inexpensive and the customer service I had was reasonable. The place is cleaner and newer than other nearby storage facilities, however the service sucks. I just closed out of a storage and was unable to talk to the guy in the office. They decided to shut down from 2-2:45pm. After getting on a call with the main office to close my account, I was told that I still need to contact the local office to remove me from the automatic monthly billing. What a joke!

Literally the WORST customer service in Los Angeles. The facility itself is fine but when you're forking over $200-300/month, you'd like to feel appreciated. The people who work in the front office, a guy named Paul and a woman named Michelle make it clear that they do not care whether or not you keep giving your business to Extra Space. I hope this place gets it right and brings in new staff for the front office. In the meantime, go up the street to Sepulveda for some of the better storage facilities.

Please be aware that the teaser rates are just that: teaser rates. My monthly rent went up 20% in 18-months, and I expect the rate to go up another 10% in the next 6 months. There should be a law requiring the increases to be in bold letters BEFORE one signs up for a storage unit. According to the manager the step increases are standard in the industry, so I assume that you will also be enjoy significant rental increases. I will never use Extra Space Storage again.
The worst storage place, do not use, they have two dollys, that's right, two for the entire place to use. About a fifty fifty chance if you go to put stuff in storage you will arrive to have nothing to wheel your stuff in or out on. Archaic elevator system which takes roughly a full minute to go up one floor
IS there a way to put Zero stars? as there should be!! this is the worst place ever! they are rude, overpriced and worst customer service EVER! And G-d forbid you have a problem with your unit if you are out of town, as it took TWO months for someone to get back to me! run, don't walk from this place!! ANYWHERE IS BETTER THAN here!!
Customer service very nice until you have a complaint. When I moved my things out of storage after a little over a year. I found mold on a few of my things. After everything was moved out I noticed a small whole about the size of a silver dollar, maybe a little larger in the wall that led to outside. You could see where water leaked in from the stain.
