The employees at this facility are what make this place so good. It is in a decent location; however, the main complaint I have is about the entrance/exit system. When I want to come in, I have to practically smash the buttons on the keypad. Then if someone is coming out while you are trying to go in, you have to let them through and back up onto the street... then re-enter your code in hopes that no one else will try to exit soon. Manager ELENA NEEDS TO BE FIRED. This location has horrible customer service and unfortunately doesn't give every customer the same quality experience. I've had a storage with them for over 5 years and mistakenly assumed I would have the same courtesy as the other tenants but that was not the case. They went into my storage multiple times without my consent and have broken highly valuable items that they refused to pay for. Customer Service is Great, Manager is Amazing. The Sad part is that I am barely on the 3rd month renting here and my unit rental is been raised to a higher amount but online is advertising a lower rate just for "New Customers" .. Dont think its fair, customer service online did not want to do anything. I honestly would not recommend to rent on a place where they will raise you rental within few weeks. Thats to my experience! Just think twice before signing !!

Avoid! I rented a storage unit online and the video for the indoor units was completely different then what was offered in real life. The video showed a building that had many indoor units that were clean and had metal doors. What was presented in real life was basically a super short hallway from outside. There was no building . Please take heed when renting from this business. Their employees may be great initially. But it would be strange if they weren't nice to new customers, right? For all the public knows, they might get commissions or bonus' for renting a certain number of units. The trouble comes once they have your business locked in. The rating is due to the service, these people are rude and no one ever answers the phone. I called for 3 day in a row and left countless amounts messages and no one ever calls back or even answers the phone? I work during their business hours so can only call in during the week which it says that they are open from 9 to 6? I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of even writting this if not for this happening to weeks in a row.
The Norwalk staff (Elena!) is very helpful and this is a corporate complaint. They start you at a decent rate and then systematically raise their prices throughout your stay. I've been here 2 years and they've increased my rate by 41%. 41%...granted that's $34 total but I have a very small unit. Extra Space Storage is banking on you to swallow that rate increase because they know moving your stuff again is a dire thought. this is the worst facility ever if you have a choice please go anywhere and everywhere else but this location! The workers are rude snooty and liars they are harassing and then when you try to make a payment they say no no payments can be accepted please pick up your belongings before the auction date: so then when you go pick up your belongings its just a tagline to get you in there so you can pay them after they have already stated no payment can be accepted I give them a negative 5stars!
