Do NOT use this facility! RATS inside the building and INSIDE the units as it's not properly closed off at the top so they got in. My stuff got destroyed, feces, urine and eat through my belongings. When I told the person onsite, she acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about and super rude. The smell in there is horrendous and there is visible rat traps and feces along the halls. I'm in the process of filing a claim. Beware of this place, it is a health hazard!
When you first move in: everything seems great! They ask you to write a review immediately...and you think, this place LOOKS so clean and Setha and Elizabeth seem SO nice. But if you stay, your stuff will become a toilet for disease ridden RATS!!! That insurance you pay up to 63$ a month for, is going to give you 0$ for your destroyed items and make you work for that 0$. If you rent a big Uhaul to move in or out, be Warned, the gate may shut on YOU, and you will be charged $45,000 for the gate that hit you!! 45 THOUSAND DOL... read more

Yesterday there was rat poop all over my things and it has been about 3.5 weeks I have stored things here. It was gross. I'm looking into the pest control they mentioned because they didn't tell me how they were going to handle it other than make sure I opt for the insurance. Bait and switch. We were able to take advantage of a good rate on their smallest space, with no mention of monthly increases. 3 months in and we just got hit with a 90% increase in monthly fee ($106 to $193/month). Our advice: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I move from LA to Santa Rosa. I contacted extra space storage on Hearn in Santa Rosa CA for my storage needs. Once I arrive to the facility the Manager hears my dogs barking which are inside my car with the window slightly open. She informs me that dogs are not permitted inside the storage which I replied to her, my dogs are inside my car and are not getting out or going inside storage units. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism by Elizabeth that works there. She really needs to find other employment where she does have to be the face when representing this location. I would not recommend this location to anyone because I want to spare them of her wrath She is so rude and appears to be very unhappy. She is hurting this business. I hear the manager is really nice. I hope he sees this post.

I have been a customer of Extra Space for years. Sadly when we moved to Santa Rosa to this Facility we discovered a serious rat problem. Days after moving items in we discovered rats. Large rat nests. Three of them with lots of droppings. We noticed the unit next to us was filthy. We notified the manager and she swept it up but without any comment about their rat abatement plans. I have been here for several years for the commercial part of my business because it's convenient for frequent use to access my parts and supplies. But I'm going to leave immediately. Here's why, they use a 3rd party landscaping service and they blow dirt and grime under your door and it coats EVERYTHING inside your unit. Weekly cleaning of supplies and tub covers just means next week it will be bad again. Repeated complaints in person the the office has fallen on deaf ears.
