I have been a customer for a few years and have never had any issues until now. I received a call from member security inquiring on Friday, June 17, about a charge on my debit card. I told the lady that I did NOT authorize the charge and she had assured me that the transaction did not go through because it was caught on time. Christine Langan is very misleading with the information she gives customers! Completely useless in running my wife and I credits. We are business owners and believe in complete transparency by all means! We are closing our accounts and definitely not recommending this TRASH Union to anyone!

Don't have account issues and you'll be fine. But don't listen to the old addage that you're not just a number at credit unions, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Fairwinds does nothing to keep their customers but quickly to throw th he disclaimer and rules and regulations even if you try to work with them. I am beyond frustrated about their representatives not being held accountable and nothing cant be done. They send you in circles. A long time for this review to come..I would not recommend this bank ever.Maybe that explains why they are only in Central Florida.

Made a $500 deposit in drive thru Drove away after transaction Checked bank account app for deposit and verified $500 was in account. Next day the bank puts a hold on $500 and says they gave it back to me and never did. REFUSED to show camera footage they claimed to have unless I came in physically on Monday. RecommendedI am taking the time to speak my mind about a experience I just recently experienced with FWCU. Before hand FWCU is being nothing but great before the last experience . I’d applied for a loan requesting certain amount at the time FWCU could not approve me for the amount I had initially requested, however they made me an offer which I accepted and I sent the document signed so they could finalize the funding of the loan. I don’t recommend anything about Fairwinds Credit Union. They are completely incompetent. I finally got fed up enough to close my accounts and was told it would take 3 business days!

It should probably have been a warning that they are not BBB accredited. I want to share an awful experience so that nobody else has to go through this. My friend's father had his life savings with Fairwinds Credit Union, including accounts he opened for his grandchildren. They ghost about excellent fraud detection service, If you feel safe banking with them based on their fraud policies, let me assure you that this credit Union did not see anything unusual about this man making several withdrawals of his entire life savings... read more
