Had an appt for a Covid test scheduled at 5:45. At 5:15 they rescheduled it to 6:45. At 6:45, they rescheduled it to 7:30. At 7, they said that they would be ready to see me as scheduled at 7:30. When I walked thru the door at 7:30, this is the exchange that I have with the staff person: (rudely) "We're not seeing anymore patients." "Oh, umm... Do not come here and waste your money! I came in with a migraine asking for migraine medicine. The doctor saw me for one minute and said I don't have a migraine, I get migraines I know what they are. Sent me to the er where after 8 hours and a huge hospital bill I got migraine medicine and I'm better right away. These guys just want your money!!

I went here on two separate occasions, i called both them and my insurance company before hand to ensure I wouldn't be hit with an unexpected bill. Jokes on me.. I was. Urgent care billed my insurance company 270 dollars for a 3 minute visit claiming it was a stage 3 visit, they couldn't explain to be how one visit ( the one where they gave me ibprophen for back spazzems) was a stage 3 when the second visit where I received muscle relaxers was a stage 1 which my insurance company was billed 170 for. I went to this urgent care because I was new to the area and was experiencing a severe muscle spasm in my neck. I was unable to turn my neck in one direction and was forced to call out of work. This is an issue I have experienced many times due to damaged nerves in my neck and back diagnosed by a neurologist. I explained my situation and said that I probably just needed some type of muscle relaxer and it would be fine in a day or two. The pros: staff was very friendly and I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving. The cons: I paid my 75 dollar copay but I received a statement for 10.69. When I called their billing department the woman who picked up told me (rudely) that that was my coinsurance. I am not well versed in insurance and I did not what that meant and when I asked her she (again rudely) said "I don't know". How can I trust that they are billing me correctly if they don't know what they are billing me.

I've never had an issue with FastMed before today. I just moved to Asheville and don't have a doctor here yet so FastMed seemed to be the best choice. I have carpal tunnel issues but I've recently been experiencing sharp pains, severe numbness and tingling up and down my right hand, arm, wrist. I wanted to get an x-ray or something that would help me make sure there wasn't some kind of damage. I was offered a "solution" I didn't think would be best for me, oral steroids. Had my foot cut at a nail salon. Went to FastMed to ask about getting a tetanus shot. They never even asked to look at the cut and when the woman came in to give me my shot she did not wash her hands. I asked her about the sign on the wall that said she should wash her hands and she told me she did it before she came in!! She was not concerned about it at all. Usually very quick and professional. I took my daughter in and waited for over an hour, when I opened the treatment room door I saw an employee lounging over the desk and asked how much longer, she said she didn't know. I ended up leaving without being seen.

Not the best place, bad turn in and out location. Kinda dirty , but they get the job done , especially if it's non trama it's faster than an ER.
