Not impressed with Fast Med UC, ValVista, Mesa, AZ. Dirty, old clinic. Reception had me electronic sign papers without knowing what they were. She seemed put off when I asked for copies of what I'm signing. Very unprofessional/ unknowledgable NP. Had to write my name on urine cup. Asked if pen clean. Dirty bathroom, toilet seat up. Gross. FastMed in **** is advertising rapid Covid-19 tests. I received one and was told by reception that it was "covered by my insurance. No payment needed." They took my card to have on file and I received an email from them stating my insurance denied my claim. I contacted insurance, they said that FastMed has been miscoding covid tests as "urgent care" and they've received many complaints of this lately. I've been on the phone for hours trying to fix something with the billing department. There is literally no one who answers. I was sent an INCORRECT bill that shows I owe when I paid the $89 upfront for the telehealth appointment. Now I'm told I owe $119. I called over the weekend (also having waited an inordinate amount of time, then being told this person was the only one in the office), and was told I was billed in error, and that they would give me a call to confirm that it was corrected. I waited for 2 hours in a small room waiting for the provider despite the staff told me at check in that I will be seen shortly. I was in pain due to a minor accident. The provider stormed in and I dared to say that I've been waiting for 2 hours and I'm in pain. The provider started yelling at me talking about the short staffing. This review is for FastMed in the********, AZ area. I went online to schedule a chest x-ray and before I did, I called the ****, ***********, and **** location to ask them a question about getting an x-ray. Apparently the number I called at all three locations goes to a general phone bank and I was on hold for at least 10 minutes at each number I called, before hanging up. I went to Fastmed to have tbe covid test. They took a regular qtip and just swabbed the inside tip of my nose. I received a positive. Coming to find out, i went to another test sight and the nurse used a long swab that went into the back of my nose. She stated that fastmed didn't do the test right and it was probably a false negative do i retested with a hospital and my test were negative. Just to think how many people they've told had a positive result and not true.
My husband and I went to FastMed Urgent Care to get tested for COVID-19 on June 19th. Our appointments were at 9:15 and 9:45. We observed the notice on the door before we entered about the COVID-19 regulations about 6 feet and wearing facemasks. I visited this facility today and i am very disappointed as the how i was treated,when i enter the building. I understand with the Corona virus,and the pandemic that is going go,but that still don't give the receptionist the right to be very rude and disrespected. Simply put, FastMed emailed me 2 days (2 days!!) before they intend to charge my card for a visit I previously been told I owed nothing.
