If I could give zero stars for fernleigh court , I would not recommend. Terrible experience for my mum in her last few weeks of her life, who has sadly now passed . Mum received poor quality of care . Dehydration, not hair washed for ages , to name but a few I'm taking legal action Communication poor

FC were investigated by BBC SS under S42 in the last 12mos. My complaint fully upheld, for reasons best known to SS FC were deemed safe. CQC eventually conducted an inspection Nov 24. FC failed in every category Safe Effective Caring & Well Led, all Requires improvement. 2 Regs breached 12 & 17. It would appear FC are under investigation again for in relation to the care of an end of life patient. Two stars mostly for the kindness of certain staff, the receptionist, Michelle, and the fact that is is a very clean place. My main concern is that there appears to be absolutely no protocol in-place *whatsoever* in the event that a loved one dies in the care home. Nobody knew what to do. The doctor barked down the phone at me after confirming my relative's death demanding to know when I was going to come and pick up his things - it was literally the second thing he said after confirming. Thank you to the great team at Baycroft Kempston for their hospitality when I stayed in their guest suite recently. I live a 3 hour drive away so staying over while visiting a dear friend who is resident at Baycroft enabled me to spend more time with her. The room was comfortable, the facilities were excellent but the whole experience was enhanced by the brilliant team there. Thank you.

A beautiful care home, surroundings have been well thought out and designed to the highest level of luxury, a fantastic team who genuinely care about the residents, variety of activities carried out regularly throughout the day and residents look very happy! Would highly recommend.
