They claim they gave proper notice about a price increase. The notice was sent via email on 12/28/23, and then the charge was put through on 1/2/24, WITHOUT even mentioning the AMOUNT of the increase! I am required to give them 30 day notice to cancel, but they don't have to give more than 2 days' notice or any details about a price increase. Unbelievable. Automatically renews contracts without customer consent. Doesn't show up to provide services that are paid for. Increases in monthly pricing without proper notice.
This company would benefit from better customer service than responding to one star reviews. As seems to be the status quo with most of these reviews, I, too, have been the victim of their $70 per month preventative maintenance plan. Fox Pest Control has a bogus cancellation fee of $250. My husband had signed up for the service without my knowledge. I don't agree with having the service, my name is on the deed to this house, as well, but they will not allow me to cancel the service without being charged the $250 fee! Any decent company would be willing to make an exception to their policies, to keep a good rapport with the customer. I would never recommend this company!
Avoid this service. They charge a lot and provide little. My program to deal with mosquitoes and ticks involved a person walking the perimeter of my one acre lawn with a herb smelling fogger that quickly blew away. The entire application took 10 minutes. And barely any product stayed on my lawn. No mosquitoes or ticks were deterred by this application.
Back in August of this year, I was very ill and was home recovering from a serious heart condition when a rep from Fox Pest Control knocked on my door in an effort to sell me an annual service contract. I didnt need their service but in my weakened state I succumbed to the high pressure face to face sales pitch and signed an agreement that would cost roughly $205 a quarter. Fox has great customer service representatives, technicians, and good products/service. However, read your contract carefully before signing. I was told I could pay a monthly charge for a service and all I had to do was sign the quote to get someone out to take care of an issue the same day, but they failed to mention I would be paying that monthly charge every month for 2 years (for a service that took 3 installments to complete) and if I tried to cancel, Id be charged a $250 cancelation fee. worst interaction with a cokmpany that I have ever had. I fired them a few months agol They still insist on trying to contact me and still insist on sending me bills. Just go away.
They are using the law to have a consumer get a service and then lock them into a contract. The contract was never explained and now they are charging me 250 to end it. Their excuse was others have lied to them. I truly did not get the spill abt this contract and under the circumstances when fleas were all over my house and me and my cat was outside to follow their guidelines What is this contract for since I did not need them for any other service.
