I wish I had read the reviews prior to picking up my vehicle. While I successfully resisted several upcharges (upgrade, tolls, etc), I fell for one and feel like I was completely mislead into two. 1) I added a second driver. A mysterious $50 upsell charge was added to my bill even though I never agreed to it. For a one day rental that originally cost $40. I was never given a copy of my rental agreement and didn't see the charge until after I returned the call and got an email for my receipt. I then walked back from the terminal to the counter where the agent said that the upsell charge would be returned to my credit card. Nope. Called customer service. They offered a discount to my next rental. Like I'd ever use them again.

The price seemed good until we got there. We bought the insurance which we expected to pay more for. My sister was going to drive also had to pay extra for her. Was told that we would go through toll roads and would need to have platepass. Ching ching extra money. We never did go through any toll areas. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They basically stole from me. I didn't look up any reviews of Fox because I figured they were trustworthy if they were partnered with Priceline. Booked a reservation through Price line for a total of $315.00 for a five day rental. When we arrived at Phx Sky Harbor/ Fox car rental office, they offered me the option of paying for insurance, which I declined and pre pd fuel which I didn't have a choice, $53.00. DO NOT Trust The Online Quote I'm from Australia and booked a car online on Oct. 16, 2021 to pick up at MCO on Nov. 16, 2021 and price quoted was $US1,064.07 for the 21 days. When I arrived just before midnight closing time and checked in at their MCO office, I was suddenly charged $US1877.14 being OVER $US800 extra. Rented a car in Denver for a weekend in the middle of September through Priceline for what we thought was going to be $175. Service agent ran through a 30 second explanation that was unclear of exactly what they were saying. I should have stopped them there before signing, but I figured it was general terms and agreement. Would give 0 if possible. Rents damaged cars. Reserved a car (hybrid) but when arrived for pickup our 'reserved' car was gone. Do not rent from this company unless you're ok with getting less than expected - at full price. We are extremely disappointed with every aspect of this rental. We will not trust this business again.

I normally don't write reviews but I want to warn renters of my god-awful experience with Fox at their Ft. Myers location. First, the agent isn't truthful. They told me that I should use their gas for filling up the car at $3.29/gallon as it was supposedly lower priced than what I could get outside. I declined and found that all gas stations were lower than $3.29. Second, we complained about the car being filthy inside. The agent said that they don't necessarily clean cars between renters.
