1 star really isn't even accurate of how poorly the Tampa Fox rental car experience was. By far my worst rental experience ever. The car was in terrible shape. The windows were dirty and sticky, the windshield wipers were non functioning, one of the tires wouldn't hold air, the brakes and rotors were shot, and there was no spare tire. We had intentionally rented a jeep 4x4 and were given a poorly maintained and barely functioning dodge disaster. THIS BUSINESS IS TRASH!! A TOTAL DUMPSTER FIRE!!!! On my way back from camping, a motor cyclist took off my mirror. After opting to use my own insurance coverage, the damage recovery agent Mary P. tried billing $3000 for a mirror repair. AFTER MONTHS of scamming and stalking me, and threatening to go to collections (even though my insurance company kept offering to pay for my actual damages - all offers which she denied). Shame on Fox/Allsave rental cars. Fox/Allsave canceled our rental to raise the price for another renter without notification to us. We booked a rental car March 3rd, 2021 for a Maui vacation starting June 9th-16th. We arrived at the airport and found the shuttle to the car rental pick-up location only to be told by the shuttle driver we were not on the list he had to pick-up our rental. Fox Rent a Car is the WORST! DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!! when we arrived to pick up the vehicle on Thursday, June 3, the seller who attended me refused to give me the car unless I took out Liability insurance that according to him it was "mandatory" in the state of Florida, which is a LIE, the man insisted and lying, refused to give me the car unless I agreed to take out the insurance, I had to accept it, paying an extra 156 dollars to the rent of the vehicle, in addition there was no discount for reducing the rent for one day a... read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!!! My American Airlines flight was delayed in Texas for more than an hour and by the Time I arrived in Miami, Fla, and took the shuttle to this car rental place, my car which I had reserved which was not picked up on time by me because of my delayed flight, had already been rented out to someone else. One star is more than this company deserves. They lie from the start and do not stand by their word. If you have an issue after you have received your rental, do not bother calling the customer assistance number. You will get nowhere. As much of a hassle as it may be, go straight bak to the car rental location and demand they address your concerns. We were overcharged for our rental. fox rent a car are scammers, dishonest and fraudulent. I rented a car for three days in Austin in May 2021, I opted for insurance and tank refill. The counter person asked if I wanted a toll pass *** $13/day, I asked what happens if I use less than $13/day, they advised you still pay $13/day. With other car rental companies, you receive a bill after the rental for any tolls, so I advised I would just pay the tolls once fox received the bill from the plate. Upon my prepaid rental pickup for an suv (that I already paid $650 in February) the woman at the desk (Deonica) told me that an upgrade would be an extra "$250" for which I interpreted it as $250 total cost and come to find out she charged me $250/ day for 10 days and never specified any of this and never told me the total. She then proceeded to tell me to "Scroll through and sign" the screens on the tab lying about what they were stating so I wouldn't notice the extra $4600 she charged me. I rented from Fox Car Rental in San Antonio TX for the duration of a work contract. I reserved a compact vehicle and when I arrived to the parking garage to get my vehicle I was shown a economy car that would not fit my luggage and it appeared to have a left front tire that was a donut with no hubcap. I said this is not what I reserved, the Fox representative stated that they no longer had compact vehicles, this is all we have.
