I rented a car from them at SLC airport. I walked in and there were three people at the counter, I went to this lady and she got all me details and everything. I asked her which car do I have she said its a mitsubishi outlander, I asked her if I can get a different car since I dont really like mitsubishi but she was like you can get a dodge durango. Our experience with Fox Rent a Car in Salt Lake UT was far from amazing. First, the guy who was actually helping us, Brynnen was pleasant and helpful. His GM was not. My dad and I had the same booking, through the same website, except he had the car for one additional day. We both booked a standard sport utility- jeep cherokee or similar. They of course did not have any jeep cherokees (surprise!). My dad was helped first. He was offered a Durango or 4runner. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE- so unorganized hidden fees!!! The told me my rental would be $297 turned out to be $700. They FORCE YOU TO get their insurance .. even if you have your own thats $18. They're reasoning was because they're not "a mainstream company " like hertz or budget. The rep also told me I needed the sun pass. I said I was driving from Miami to Doral. I was on vacation and didn't realize how close it was (9 minutes and no tolls" he told me there is for sure no way to get to doral without tolls. Complete liar!... read more

I rented a SUV from LAX fox rental. Paying 643 dollars for the 205 miles I drove in 17 days period The car's trunk was hard to use, the air was unpleasant and nauseating fragrance. This car got XXXXX miles with preexisting rear bumper damages. I took it because that was the only choice. My nightmare happened when I returned the car. At first I was easily misled into a narrow one way lane (employee parking). The worst. Had a death in the family and needed to make a change to my reservation. They couldn't do it over the phone, and when I asked them to email me some info or even just tell me where on their website I could find it, they refused to do so repeatedly, and then literally hung up on me. Worst customer service ever- do not rent from here.

I made a reservation/prepaid with Fox Rent A Car online weeks before my flight to Denver. My return flight is at 0600 from Denver. When I picked up my car a woman in the back of the building where I was inspecting the car told me "did you see the sign on our door that we open 0600 Effective immediately ". My husband and I called the customer service line to arrange drop off at Denver airport location to accommodate an early return flight. Rented a car in April from the Ft. Myers location. Unfortunately the desk agent was under the influence of a narcotic and was fading in and out during her speech.. No manager was able to report this to but the manager who stepped out was aware of this when he kept looking over at her. A week passed *** we received a call that the agency had no credit card on file, when actually we used to credit card to pay for the transaction at time of rental. Rented a car in March from Fox. I should have known better after a similar experience in Los Angeles a few years back. I prepaid so that I could pick just what I wanted AND DIDN'T WANT. I was still billed for Emergency Road Service and Supplemental Liability Insurance even though I declined every block on the form. The agent was 3 feet back behind plexiglass with a mask on. Fox Rent a Car Inc in Fort Myers tried to keep my deposit of $100 with no justification!!!! I had to go through my credit card company to get my money back. Worst customer service ever!!!! I will never ever do business with them again. A customer should not have to deal with such an unprofessional organization and go through what I went through to get my money back.
