After renting an upgrade at checkout, we where on our way, 55 miles down the road, had a flat tire, where we were stuck with an empty can of fix a flat with no spare tire, we finally got through to customer service, did say they would replace the car for us, sent out a tow truck with a downgraded car, spent over 6 hours the whole day waisted on the vacation weekend trip, waiting for our car, for an overcharged vehicle and then 3 weeks later received a toll booth charges from Fox rent a car with a 75.00 service fee that their... read more

Two main points; First, when we arrived to pick up our reserved car, it was not ready at the reserved time. When we finally received the car it was clear it was used by a smoker and was very strong. I immediately wrote an email to explain this and that we would do what we could to help air the car out while we had it for the week. Please do not use this unethical company. They hook you in with budget prices, give you with a poorly maintained car and slam you with a bill at the end. I had rented a vehicle from Denver airport for two days. This car had over 70K miles on it and it had not been well kept. As we drove into Breckenridge the front end of the car began to progressively shake more and more violently. I called Fox and they offered to send out a replacement. Its not like we were renting for 1 day, we had the car for 4 days. How do you call to let them know your going to be late when on a plane? Rented a car for 4 days, they cancelled the reservation on us because we were late, (Flight). PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING WITH PRICELINE OR FOX-RENT-A-CAR On Oct 22 - 25, I had a rental car from Fox-Rent-A-Car that I rented through Priceline. Upon getting into the vehicle late at night from the Phoenix Airport, I noticed a horrible smell. The smell was manageable as long as you cranked the AC. Paid an agreed-upon amount online. After I returned home from surgery, Fox Rental charged an additional $150 to my card for some sort of insurance upgrade that I did not consent to. I never buy stuff like that. Fox Rental refuses to answer their phone or email in the several times that I tried both. Stay away from these scammers. They look like a deal upfront, but that's because they scam you in the end. Go with a reputable company like Enterprise.

We had a reserved car at 456 dollars for two weeks and the employee disregarded that and added a lot of extras we did not want.The total was 1254 dollars instead of the reservation price of 456 dollars and the employee laughed. I was not laughing and filed a claim with Colorado's Attorney General for deceptive business practices...baiting and switching the customer. I was a Fox customer using them many times with no problem until now.

HORRIBLE. I rented a car this past weekend from the Orlando location. They asked if I wanted to upgrade to a Jeep Wrangler for $20 more. I said sure, it'd be more fun than the car I'd initially reserved. My original rental was supposed to cost me $110. So, $20 more wasn't a big deal. I get the keys to the wrangler and head out to the vehicle. It's disgustingly dirty inside. I go back in to the office and ask for another vehicle.
