Fox is a very dishonest company and we will never rent from them again! We rented a car from them in Salt Lake City Utah and did the 1/2 tank prepaid fuel so that all we had to do was bring the car back with a half a tank. We returned the car with a little over a 1/2 of tank of gas in it at 7:25 am because of having an early flight. When we got there the lady told us no one was there to check the car in yet and she would have to send us an email statement later. She would not go out and look at it herself. I will never rent from Fox again. Our car was full of little bugs and when I started calling customer service I was told I had to contact Roadside Assistance. After being on hold over an hour and leaving multiple messages a return call was never received until the next day at 1115. They did deliver another vehicle to us, but we lost a day and half of our trip because no one would answer a call. I can't imagine if we would have been stranded along the road in this situation!!! Easily the worst car rental company out there. First day I had the car, the catalytic converter was cut off at my hotel. Spent 3 hours jumping through hoops to get a replacement vehicle. I would never recommend Fox to anyone. I booked them thru Expedia and paid for my rental in full. When I went to pickup my car they were closed and was unable to get a vehicle when my flight arrived. Had to spend **** on a hotel next to the airport so I could get my car in the morning (there was no customer service available at 10pm and Expedia couldn't help me. I prepaid an amount (which I was supposed to pay at the time of pickup) several months in advance. When I went to pick up the car, there were other charges that totaled more than the prepaid amount. I was forced to put insurance on the vehicle and some other charges I was not anticipating on having since I prepaid in advance. This caused a financial strain on my family vacation because I was charged almost another **** AFTER I had already paid for the rental.

I rented a SUV in Orlando, FL via Fox. Although their price was good, it was not worth the hassle of dealing with them. I was charged TWICE for liability insurance and they were only willing to return 1/2 of the charge; despite the fact I have a receipt showing I pre-paid for coverage. The customer service rep that assisted me told me a deposit was being held to cover any possible toll charges incurred (which is fine since Orlando has many toll roads). I reserved a car via the website, which they direct you to do. I picked out the car I wished to reserve and paid for it online. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my reservation. I tried calling them, but the prompts provided just keep going in circles. You can't get a person on the phone. All it says is to modify reservations online. Awful company, I rented a Dodge Journey, and when I got there I got a much smaller suv which I could have rented for less money. They said they didn't even had any Dodge Journeys at that location. Byron from the Salt Lake City Airport location was extremely rude and even though I had to keep the much smaller car, he charged me $51.00 for the upgrade they offered and I declined. I've had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life with Fox Rent a Car. I pre-paid for my reservation through ********** but when I picked up my car, Fox didn't honor this, and charged me again for the base rental rate. On top of that, they sold me on a very expensive upgrade I didn't need, there were many hidden fees, and when I tried to explain this to them, they would not listen to me nor would they offer any refund for being overcharged.
