Car broke down...limped car into shop...car had a mechanical failure...it’s in writing it’s covered and the claim was denied. I called to cancel and was told to call the dealer...called the dealer to cancel and get refunded it wasn’t until then they decided to work with me...For what the warranty actually covered (not even half) I was better off just getting a full refund....not only out of 2700 but I still had to pay 1900 out of pocket for the repair...I just don’t understand how something can be in writing clear as day and... read more

Thank you for your review. The mechanical failure you encountered with your vehicle is indeed covered under the terms of your contract; however, not when the mechanical failure predates the start of your contract. This is known as a condition that was current in your vehicle before the time of purchase of your vehicle by you and is further explained in Section 2, Line 14 as follows: “Any conditions that were present with the vehicle prior to the purchase of the vehicle by You. Any pre-existing conditions.” For simplicity, it... read more
I would never suggest buying a warranty from this company. We bought the extended warranty and didn’t even put 10,000 miles on our truck. The transfer case literally fell out from under the truck while we were traveling 40 mph down the road. Their 3rd party inspector said they couldn’t cover it cause there was damage to the u joint.....ya think? There was a failure and it hit the road at 40 mph. They wouldn’t listen to the mechanic with 28 years experience as to what happened. They just did everything possible to deny our c... read more

Thank you for your review and giving us the opportunity to investigate your active claim. It was determined by the 3rd party inspector that the cause of failure was due to the failure of the rear propeller shaft front u-joint. The subsequent damage that occurred was from the continued use of your vehicle with a failed/binding rear propeller shaft front u-joint. Your contract does not cover damage from continued use as stated in Section 2: What is Covered and What is Not Covered, Line item 9 under NOT covered: “Mechanical fai... read more

Ive done business with Freedom Warranty for few years now. They were once a good solid company that stood behind their products. Sadly to say, they are no longer that company I once had faith in for my customers. I’d highly recommend not depending on this company to back up their product when it comes the time you need them. I only wish I’d found out sooner before selling their products to so many of my customers.
Just bought a vehicle in February of this year. Got the warranty with the vehicle. Yesterday we began having transmission problems. Any other place especially with other vehicles I have bought that came with a warranty dealt with everything and never had any problems they did everything I didnt have to do a thing. I was out away from home about an hour. I had to find a towing company but used my car insurance to help me. I had to pay for the rental out of my pocket. Now I sit and wait to see if Freedom is even going to pay. ... read more

Your issue was escalated the same day we heard from you and we have had two conversations with you by phone in an effort to resolve it. As you know this was a complex situation requiring some time. I hope that you will post the successful resolution when you are satisfied.
As an automobile dealer, I have sold several Freedom Warranty Contracts. One customer called me up months after purchasing the service contract to thank me when they needed an air conditioner repaired in the midst of 90 degree plus summer days. The actual repair turned out to be more money ($658.00) than they had at the time.
I’ve had the WORST experience with Freedom Warranty! We purchased the warranty for a used car we bought a year ago because it had quite a few miles and we didn’t want to be surprised by expensive fixes. It worked out well at first, because the transmission went out and Freedom repaired it no problem! They sent out a refurbished trans to replace the broken one and we were good to go with just our deductible payment. Fast forward about 10 months later, the transmission has gone out again! 😡 so again we take it to the same re... read more
