Unfortunately if your here it’s probably already to late , but if your thinking about getting your extended warranty through this company DON’T. Miserable experience, waited 2 weeks just for them to deny my claim for my water pump because I changed my oil myself. Read the rest of the reviews looks like they’ve never helped anyone lmao what a joke

Bought a new car that I thought would be reliable for having a baby. The transmission went and all the warranty company would cover was a USED transmission… not refurbished but used! So I was out my vehicle for 7 weeks while they put a used transmission in. I finally got my vehicle back and I drove it one day then the check engine light came back on. I had to drive it back to the garage with the baby and it’s a long drive! Well, guess what, the “fixed transmission” was bad. And once again, they say they will only put another... read more
Business response:
Freedom Warranty did not comment on whether or not to put a used or new transmission in your vehicle. The original repair order from the service facility you choose listed a used transmission with 98,000 miles on it. The vehicle service contract you purchased was a Limited Liability Powertrain contract. The cost of the contract was $295.00. The maximum limit of liability on this inexpensive limited coverage contract is $3000.00. Freedom Warranty paid out the $3000 in a timely fashion. The timeline is as follows. The repair f... read more
My car blew a head gasket, engine blew and needs to be replaced. Took it in to the mechanic and now for the kicker. 1 month without a car later just for them to say they will only replace the head gasket and not the engine which needs to be replaced. This is a scam company. Call your lawyers.
Business response:
You blew a head gasket. Continued use after failure caused subsequent damage.
Absolute garbage, don’t waste your money on them!! They will take your money and run with it and not fix your car, purchased a extended warranty on a car for my daughter three years or 100,000 miles at the time we bought the car it only had 66,000 miles on it and she only put a possible maybe 15,000 miles on it in two years and then the time that we’ve had the car in the first year the car was stalling out on her and we took it to the dealership twice paid our deductible and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it, so the ... read more

Absolute trash company. Stay away.
Business response:
A claim was called in for lifter replacement. We requested maintenance records from you. You provided a log but only provided proof of purchase for 12 quarts of oil with 2 filter across six oil changes. Six oil changes would have required 48 quarts of oil and 6 oil filters. The proof of oil changes you provided does not meet the required proof of maintenance outlined in the contract. Please keep better records.
We paid for a warranty. Took our vehicle to a reputable dealership and we are on day 3 without a vehicle. No option for a rental and being screwed around. They won’t pay for a rental until they approve the claim and what they offer for “rental coverage” is pathetic and not clearly put on their paperwork. Extremely disappointed.
Business response:
Your claim was called in on February 13th. You car is in need of roughly a $3,800 repair. We ordered a third party inspection of February 14th. On February 15th, you are complaining that the process is taking too long. Ironically, you failed to mention that on October 27, 2022, we approved roughly a $400 claim for you in about 45 minutes. You also failed to mention that we approved roughly an $800 claim for you on December 12, 2022 in under 3 hours. It takes a little longer to approve and fix a transmission than it does to r... read more
A diabolical warranty. Rarely bothers to come out and assess the repairs for days. Car rental not covered during wait time, even though those delays were directly caused by the warranty company. Only offers replacement of absolute bare minimum of failed components... for instance: right suspension airbag fails - major task to replace - won't under any circumstances replace left bag (of same age/wear/deterioration and it took 11 days to get approval) - 2 days after vehicle return left airbag fails and the car is back in the... read more
Business response:
Your claim was called in on 1/26 and was approved 1/30. That is 4 days. Not sure how you calculate 11 days. Per the repair order, the repair facility only requested the replacement of one strut and stated that they would need to reassess after the right strut was replaced. The repair facility never asked for the other strut after the repairs were completed. It was not until you filed the second claim that mention of replacing the second strut was necessary. It turns out that your second claim was in the process of being appr... read more
I have a warranty with Freedom, and it has been nothing but a nightmare to get any claims paid, even when they are clearly covered. I would advise to stay away or go with another company.
Business response:
We ask that when customers file a claim they follow the claims procedure. The contract clearly states in multiple places and in an oversized bold font: DO NOT START WORK WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION. You failed to follow obvious instructions and decided to take the claims process into your own hands. You brought your vehicle to a repair facility, paid the bill, and then sent us receipts for reimbursement. The total bill was for $6,506.38. The contract had only been in effect for 9 days and the vehicle traveled less than 500 m... read more
