I spoke with him once and explained what I was looking for. He said he'd run some numbers and get back to me later in the day. Well, he never called back. It would have been an easy loan for him (754 fico, good ltv, very low debt ratio). I moved on and quickly refinanced with another lender.

This client was trying to qualify for a new home without selling their current one, this made the Debt To Income very high and difficult to approve. Secondly, self employed borrowers often think they make more money than they do. You have to use the Adjusted Gross Income not Gross, as many self employed borrowers write off a lot of expense to lower their tax bill. Unfortunately I did not have the best experience here. I felt as though I was talked down to and was told several different things from the start to the finish of the process. This was 6 years ago and we have not gone back for our loans with future purchases.
She spoke to me originally but after filling out my initial loan documents I can't get her to return any emails or calls. In the end it was very frustrating and a waste of time to work with her.

I don't recommend GSF for an FHA refi loan. They may be ok for a regular loan--I don't know, so I can't comment on that. I waited a week for a GFE which I never got. A.N. was the loan officer. He is v. friendly, answered phone calls and emails in a timely matter, but besides this, we got nowhere. The underwriter apparently didn't know how to write the contract to refi an FHA for another FHA for a multifamily house that is no longer owner occupied. DO NOT TRUST THEM! I was pre-approved by GOGSF last year in June. I admittedly had a tough situation. That is why I wanted to be pre-approved before I wasted me and my families time and patience. I sent GSF EVERYTHING….. "Everything" is the best way to describe it. I sent it to them BEFORE I went to look at a house.
