I had submitted my refinance application to Go Mortgage/GSF Mortgage Corp on Feb 9th. All the documents requested were uploaded by Feb15th. The 2 loan officers I worked with, Becky Williamson and Gino Egidi, were nonresponsive. I had to threaten to contact NJ Department of Banking to get them moving on my refi application after 2 months. I was just able to close on April 15th. In the closing costs, there were additional fees that they tried to hide from me as the borrower.

I just wasted 75 days of my life working with Go Mortgage and Christine Jonas. Despite my turning around all document requests within 24 hours, they blatantly failed to close the transaction within a reasonable amount of time (i.e., 60 days). Note this transaction was about as simple as humanely possible: a conventional, 30-year fixed refinancing on a single family home. Then, they had the nerve to try to charge me a string of extension fees "so that you can keep your old rate." By the time I decided I was done with these fo... read more

We have had nothing but problem after problem working with Robert. We used him and GSF to finance our home when we first purchased it. There was ZERO communication. We would go weeks without hearing from him. Then we would check in with him and he’d respond with a list of 10 things we needed to do. We could’ve been working on those forms and everything over those weeks where we didn’t hear anything from him. It was like we had to keep reminding him to work on our mortgage. It was so bad and he was so slow at everything that ... read more

This company should receive negative 50 stars! Absolutely horrible. Dont use them unless you are prepared for closing to be pushed back multiple times

These people are SLOW and can never seem to get anything done right. Right from the start it took MULTIPLE tries for them to even get my mortgage amount to the correct value. I kept telling them I want X DOLLARS and they kept just trying to max it out to 80% of my Value. Now I've had to send them documents MULTIPLE times over and over cause they can't keep anything straight. We're ready to sign the paper work and all of a sudden they need MORE documents. I've closed 10+ mortgages in my life and this has been by far the worst... read more

He reached out quickly and told me that he was going to send me a few options. That was several weeks ago and I haven't heard back from him since then.

Borrower beware! GSF's policy is to not provide a loan commitment. Seller's terminated offer due to not receiving the loan commitment that is part of every standard Offer to Purchase. Only lender can provide a loan commitment that you contract to in an Offer to Purchase, but they are not legally obligated to.

Business response:

We are not legally obligated to provide a loan commitment however we do provide them but each situation is unique with what is required and should be provided. We handle every borrower in a very professional manner while trying to provide the information and service that they may need with their transaction. In this situation a purchase was made and the loan closed. The circumstances as to when a loan commitment should have been provided or was even needed would have been handled according to that particular situation. It is... read more

Worked with Jim, he recommended me to a credit repair company, after paying them $500 was told I was mortgage ready. He tried MHDC loan which did not go through, said Jim then ignored my calls, emails, and texts. He referred me to First Community credit union first time home buyer program, they also denied me. He told me to let him know the outcome, informed him and asked what more I needed to do to get into a home. NO RESPONSE, so i went with his credit repair company, and then he just gave up on me. NO GOOD GSF!

Lender was aware of my immigration status on day 1 of application. They approved us for the loan initially, after my third party financing approval deadline had passed by, they declined my loan just 2 days before closing was expected as a result of which we lost our earnest money. There was no apology/compensation from GSF although they were 100% responsible for the mess.
