If I could give them ten stars, I would! Took our 19 year old cat there 3 months ago. We knew her time with us was coming to a close. Given excellent advice by Dr. Ashamalla. I never felt put upon to do unnecessary tests and treatment. We had to have her put to sleep last week. From the lady who answers the phone, to the techs, and the vets, we couldn't have been treated any better or with more compassion. "Come whenever you need to come". Dr. Ashamalla is very patient, thorough and spends time explaining everything. We have always been able to get our pets an appt quickly when necessary. The reason for 3 vs 5 stars is this vet is quite expensive. We have had friends leave the practice over the cost. So far the service has been worth it to us but it is pricey.

Dr. Joyce Ashamalla is a patient and delightful vet! She has helped me through the puppy years with our shelter German Doberman (we think). Our little thunder ball of energy; Sydney has taught me what a determined active dog really means. And the reassuring and understanding style of Dr. Joyce is priceless. Sydney loves going to the Hinsdale hospital, hey maybe that's why she ate some Mucinex...before I could catch her and take it away!!!

we have been going here for about 7 years for our rat terrier. doctor Timothy Brandes which we see each time is so gentle and caring. listens well and is comforting.this staff here is honest and tries simple meds before jumping ahead. we like this place and will return

These guys/gals are the best. I have been taking my dogs here for 20 years. Recently moved to the city and saw a vet for Louie my brown doberman who has had recurrent ear problems for 7 years. That vet sent me to a vet surgery center on Clybourn...(no names!)...and after lancing the ear didn't work to resolve a hematoma they put the hard sell on to amputate his ear...i had some ideas of my own about the surgeon's ears...@#*!$$$$$... I recently adopted a dog from Hinsdale Human Society. They had me pick a vet off of their list to have the dog neutered. Not a Hinsdale native, I just picked a vet that was on a street that was familiar to me. I chose Hinsdale Animal Hospital. When I went to pick him up after the neutering, the people at the office just raved about what a great dog he was. I am very pleased with the Hinsdale Animal Hospital. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My dog is like a daugther to me and I wouldn't trust her to just anyone. I recently had her groomed here (the groomer was recommended and has even won some awards in grooming contests). She did an excellent job and the prices were extremely reasonable!

have been going here for years - and up until this visit I've been satisfied. This visit was terrible - I was verbally quoted a price of $300-$500 then charged $1000. I asked for a manager to call she didn't call for over 24 hours (and then only 40 minutes before she left for the day). They did not give me the necessary medicine when I left the appointment. I had to leave work the next day to get it. No consideration.
