I usually don't write reviews but as a new pup owner this is my experience. Overall service was OK. This place is expensive. They are a bit money hungry.. (My pup was treated for hookworm but i then found out the meds were WAY CHEAPER ON CHEWY. This place was trying to charge me $120). They didn't really explain much about what was going to be given, or done and if I was okay with it. Maybe me being a new owner it was my fault for being so naive. I then called to ask the vet a question about my pup feeling a bit leth... read more

We take your feedback seriously. We appreciate your insights and will work to improve our communication and service. Thank you for sharing your experience.
There so many vet clinics in this area, many are very good. Why to pick a place so impersonal and disorganised . The front desk cluless in any matters and full of contradictions. We used to have the wellness plan for our dog, they didn't charge our credit card for over 1 year with the right CC on file. We brought our pet for vaccines and they requested the total payment before the service. We mentioned that they has the correct cc on file, why they didn't debit the monthly payment. They say sorry I don't know why, we o... read more
Business response:
Dear Daniel, the Wellness plan allows for free office calls, includes all the recommended vaccines and even includes heartworm prevention with 10% off medical treatment, too! Some tiers of the plan even include surgery pending on the plan you choose. All for a hugely discounted monthly fee. We charged the card you provided and ask that you update if anything changes. Please contact us Mon- Fri to discuss. We apologize for any inconvenience.
After years of bringing my pets here. We have to part ways after a 3rd incident. The last 3-4 stays (Kennel and surgery) were getting worse and worse. I have always been kind to post positive reviews! But the last 3-4 visits were horrible and I STILL TRIED TO UNDERSTAND AND GAVE THEM ANOTHER FEW MORE CHANCES!! It was worse. Spoke to the vet owners and they apologized but never tried to make things right. Very money hungry! I never have giving them a bad review because I try to understand and give them a try again. But this... read more

Thank you for your message. All of our boarding animals go out 5-6 times per day. And we offer doggie day care for friendly patients as well. We never charged you a vet visit, it was simply a line item that was zeroed out because a vet did do an exam on your pet because you stated that your pet already has a hot spot on the cheek from their underlying allergies (in addition to providing you complimentary medications). Our doctor wanted to see you to give you the best service in addition to a phone call. We are an open door. ... read more
My dog was there from Sunday, October 8th, 2023, to Friday, October 13th, 2023. I dropped my dog off at approximately 11:30AM on Sunday. I packed 12 bags of food, an unopened bag of dog treats and dental treats, a teddy bear, along with her (my dog) flea collar that was still intact. While checking in, a young lady at the front desk was helping. She appeared to be typing the instructions on feeding my dog. "She eats twice a day, 1-2 treats a day, 1 dental treat a day." She offered an exit bath for my dog, I accepted, and she... read more

Thank you for your message, and we are sorry to hear you had trouble with your boarding experience. It is hospital policy to not take personal items outside of food, treats and medications. This policy is in place for just such an occasion. We will ship your items back to you shortly as per the phone call you had. In regards to picking up pets, if the owner gives us verbal consent, then we can allow for other family/friends to pick up. In regards to callbacks, it is important to leave a name and number so that we can call yo... read more
Just like everyone else if I could give zero stars I would!! This place is a money grab! My family member has been taking our two puppies there repeatedly over several months for treatment of giardia. They are under treating and have her coming back over and over to repeat labs $$$ because the two puppies continue to test positive for giardia after each course of under treatments. After each treatment the puppies symptoms show no improvement, yet they will not change what they're doing to atain positive results. Isn't that ... read more
Business response:
Thank you for your message. Giardia can be a tricky protozoa! That intestinal parasite can be difficult to clear and it is practically ubiquitous in the environment because it is common in rabbit and duck/goose droppings. Also, there is an immune system component that sometimes makes it a long journey to treat as well. There are only 2 medications that we use regularly to treat it. Often the challenge is the pet picking it up outside in the yard and re-exposing themselves to it. Lab costs are out of our hands as it is an out... read more
If I can give no stars I would.....Receptionist staff and technicians very unprofessional. I was a vet tech for over 30 years and I would never again bring my animals back to this place. My male cat developed an infection after his castration(abdominal surgery since testicles were retained) and it was a long recovery. In all my years in specialty, emergency and shelter medicine all working in surgery I have NEVER seen an animal develop an infection after this surgery when home instructions are followed. Collar was worn 24 7... read more
Business response:
Hi Angela, thank you for your review. We have already spoken to you about your concerns in more detail and are saddened that you still feel our response/additional treatments were insufficient. Anything on the skin can get infected- from a tiny splinter to an abdominal incision. We use proper recommended sterile technique protocols as we always have on the thousands of patients we see. Pets can get to their incision sites even with the E-collar on in other ways, such as rubbing on the floor and using their back legs, especia... read more
Again no stars no compassion. In this situation seconds were critical and 12 minutes is a lifetime. Also the ER is a longer drive than 12 minutes!!! Have you ever driven to it, I'm sure not. I stand firmly with my previous review. The clinic was open and he could have been brought in to determine whether he needed to be transferred. Thank you again for NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR COMPASSION.
Business response:
To reiterate what we were hoping to convey in the last comment, is that the staff was concerned that your mom's cat would require extensive care that would require overnight monitoring and/or surgery, and that is why they sent you to a referral center. The ER is 12 minutes from us. Again, we're sincerely sorry for your loss. There is no lack of compassion, it was in the thought of needing advanced overnight care. We truly are sorry for your loss. The management here is so unprofessional to say the least. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Lets get them to leave Hinsdale!!!! We need people who are empathic and willing to listen to solve customer issues; instead they just ban you!!! It's unreal how they are getting away with this! And the staff talks down to you!!!! I kid you not they will tell you that they do not want your business and refuse to work with you.
Business response:
Dear Vince, We are so sorry we were unable to make you happy. Based on our past conversations, we find that we are not the best fit for you and your needs. In our 60 years of being in the community, we’ve never had to break ties with a client. And as much as this saddens us, sometimes it is what is best for both parties involved. We wish you the best.
This place killed my dog. Ollie was a golden retriever only 6 years of age and we brought him in yesterday and today for tests. They said to come back tomorrow for xrays and that was it, not to call them if he got worse, which he did. He stopped breathing at 2 am after we sat beside him as he began to shut down-- we thought it was just the fever the vets said he had. But no. My dog is dead because this place did not seem to care that he wasn't eating, moving, or reacting to anything. His appointment was at 8, 3 days after he... read more
