issues with WIFI Endless WIFI issues
1 star because can't use cheap 3rd party print cartridge the brother cartridges are at least 3 times the cost of generic ones. They are made for the brother printers and do fit. But, you can't get the printer to see it once installed. NEVER BUY BROTHER PRODUCTS!
Constantly says "LOAD PAPER" for no reason Printer is always at 50%+ paper and errors when attempting to print a document. The fix is to open and close paper tray and it clears the error and resumes printing..
Stops Working for no reason. Cheap foreign made. Stopped working for no reason two weeks out of warranty. Barely used. Cheap crap.
AVOID THIS IF YOU NEED WIFI CONNECTED PRINTER I'm so frustrated with this printer. The WIFI connection doesn't work. It goes to sleep/offline mode and then I can't wake it up. I am giving up and buying a damn cable. I shouldn't have to.
Not great! Purchased this printer in March 2021 for my business and liked it for about a month. Sleep mode? More like coma.....It would rather sleep than print because it doesn't come out of sleep mode and I have to move the credenza out from the wall to unplug it.... what a pain in the rear. It became extremely frustrating to deal with and then one day it just quick. So it's been dead for about a month. I got 10 months out of it and now it resides in my garage.
First big job failed Bought for school. Worked great for one or two pages made About 30 prints in a month. Had to print 40 double sided it kept stopping for out of paper. Made weird clicking sounds. The thing was full of paper. Took me about 2 hours to get my prints having to reset multiple times. I was really stressed out.
Nothing but aggravation when it comes time to replace the toner Brother followed the rest of the big companies in putting proprietary chips on their toner cartridges. The printer will give you replace messages long before the toner is empty. Worse, when you finally do replace the toner, the machine will give a "no toner" error and become completely inoperable with a generic cartridge. Its basically a corded/wired printer The absolute worst printer ive ever owned in all my years. You can always count on this thing to not work. Its always sleeping even after taking it off deep sleep mode. Wastes toner even after consulting with tech support on the issue many times. Its a polished turd. Wired connection works but this printer is advertised as wireless. I would return if i could. At this point this piece of crap printer will be used for target practice. BUYER BEWARE!
