I had to buy a new printer after my old one gave out on me and so far the Brother printer does everything I need it to do from printing to scanning.
Could not get it connected to homework. Test page printed when directly connected to laptop was good.
I like the idea but f not purchasing small cartridges of ink. The tone is a much more cost effective solution.
Is an average printer. The problems occur if and when you have to switch wifi networks. There is no way to change networks in the printer. I was on the phone for an hour with a Geek to no avail. The lack of keyboard doesn't allow you to enter anything. Took it back for an updated model with keyboard.
Was looking for a black and white only printer. This fit the bill in price and features
I have had a few of these Brother printers in my family and found them to be quite reliable. One is two years old and the other is about two months old.
Is really good if you don’t need to print color !!!!!
It prints every time and no problem with ink. I have bought 1 pack of ink and it will last a long time.
Of course the printer couldn't connect to our wireless network automatically like the set up guide says, had to use a special USB cable that I had, but would have cost another $25 at BestBuy, and then enter the wireless network password manually. Printer worked OK, printing from computer and iPhone, scanner worked OK for that first night. Next day wouldn't AirPrint from iPhone.
