    Setting up was a nightmare. Still don't have wireless connection.

    Set up was relatively simple. Had problems w/putting in password. Note: Capital letter come after lower case. After I discovered this I connected to internet easily. Purchased Brother specifically due to ease of use and ease of scanning and printing from App. I rarely print in color so made decision to purchase laser black and white printer - toner savings alone pays for this printer.

    The product appears to be working well for the short time I have had it. However, the installation of this printer was an extremely bad experience. It took about six hours to complete the installation. The installation disc failed early on and I was advised to call Brothers Support - in Jamaica. The tech person said the disc was not compatible with Windows 10. I had to talk with three tech people because after lengthy contact with two of the tech people I had to call back and wait again 20 minutes to make contact. After much... read more

    The reason I did not buy through Best Buy was due to the bad reviews were sooo bad I chose to buy locally just in case. Honestly, you look at the star rating and it's nearly 5 stars. Then you start reading the reviews and all you see is 1 star and people saying "don't buy". I just sat down on my MacBook Pro, OS 10.15.7 and went straight to the Brother Support website and downloaded the recommended software.     I shopped for a printer for nearly a year before breaking down and buying this one. I recently started working at home for a new job. It was time to replace my slow and much cheap printer that was costing tons for the ink it constantly sucked up. This is a quality product that prints wirelessly with no difficulties from my laptop, cell phone and even my work laptop (no installations necessary just an internet connection).     This is my second Brother printer in several years. Originally had trouble connecting to my laptop. Finally ended up having to do it through the printer itself. I've had it almost 30 days now and now the scanner is not connecting to my laptop. I'm going to try with a USB cable and if I'm not getting any better results I am going to return it. Unfortunately I am not a satisfied customer any longer.

    Would not recommend to anyone. Continually goes offline. Tried to re-install and it wouldn't. After six months it would make a doorstop. I have used Epsons, HPs and Canons without problems. Bought this one on price. Given the opportunity to do over, I would spend the extra bucks for something else

    Two people are using this printer. One with Macbook Air and the other with a Macbook Pro. The printer continuously goes offline if they don't use it frequently, and then they have to delete the printer and re-add it to print something. Googled dozens of solutions, and nothing resolves problem.
